Re: Raced a cocky Boxster

One of my fave kills, had a go against a few boxter "s", can beat them on the twisties too. Nice kill man, love showing those "poor mans Porsches" the way home. Diferent story against a 911 though.

Re: Raced a cocky Boxster

hey hey enough with the porsche bashing =P. c'mon it's a beautiful car...its quick...but not "fast" by today's standards. dont really know about the base model but the boxster s hits 60 about as fast as a subi wrx. you are paying for the name porsche as the boxster is just the entry level car, i mean yea u can pay 21k for an srt4 or w/e and yea theyre just as fast...but when it comes down to it...its just a dodge...or a subaru...people are gona be lookin at the porsche when you're cruising around whether its slow or not ^.^

Sorry but Boxsters are as common as muck over here, I couldnt show respect to a car that looks the same going backwards as it does forwards. what did the designers do, draw the front of the car get bored and use a mirror???? Porsche really let themselves down with the Boxster they should take the designers outside and beat them with a big stick, gimme the 911 shape anyday.

Re: Raced a cocky Boxster

I fail to see the part where he was cocky/a hotshot. Sounds to me like he was just driving along with a hot girl (where you were alone) and you had to race him to make yourself feel better about driving alone. You had to really egg him on to get him to race (if he did at that). Also isnt your 5.0 stock? I doubt you could take a boxster stock for stock.

You don't think I can take a Boxster stock? Truth be told, I toy with stock boxsters. Also, I guess you failed to see how laughing at my car and refusing to race, and giving the implication that I am not worth his time cause Im slower is cocky.

if you are stock, then he could've been a bad driver.

Re: Raced a cocky Boxster

No, they are just slow. Aside from that, it was probably an auto anyway. Not much skill involved when your taking off from a stop light with an auto, just jam down the gas.

yeah, i guess you could say that, but when i was stock i was always under the impression that they could beat me. I ran a 15.2 at the track, what do you think your stang runs?

thanks for the compliment, i still got a couple bugs to work out of that thing.... like an exhaust. but its hard to find a 2.5 " for a 96 4door gsr.

Re: Raced a cocky Boxster

I saw a slip of mine running a 13.8. The guy I bought it from showed me. Only thing I know it has is a stage 3 bronze clutch and cold-air intake (just isntalled that last week). So the guy is probably just a great driver and ran on slicks, along with good track conditions and some high octane fuel. Either that or I have a freak.
