Re: I'm back, kinda... and Dyno results.

Yea I need to get rid of my 550cc injectors, now I want 650-680cc injectors and go for some hopefully nice respectable numbers. I know I have no chance at comparing to SBR's 400whp on the Evo 16g but I want to try to get as close as I can to it! I have a walbro 255lph pump that is going in tonight so that should help out with the fuel delivery problem I was having before.

Anyways, Joemathews is hosting the video for me and whenever he gets it up I'll have him post it. What you should watch for is the first run that I taped the camera was on the boost gauge, 20psi is at about 2-o-clock, thats where it set pretty much the whole run. The 3rd run is where you need to remember where the numbers are at. At about 3-o-clock is 30psi and thats where she spiked to when the vacuum line blew off the WG. (Fuck zip ties - metal hose clamps from now on!!!) The 2nd and 4th runs were from in front of the car. I love the motor mounts. They help so much its hardly noticable when I get into it and let off if you turn the volume down. Before it use to vibrate like a bitch!

My mods are as follows:
Brand new rebuilt 6 bolt with 3k miles
Motor Mounts
HKS 272/272 cams
HKS Cam Gears
RC 550cc injectors
Walbro 255lph pump (installing today - didnt have it at the dyno)
2.5" LICP
Greddy Type RS on J-pipe
3" to 3.5" and back to 3" UICP
3.5" GM MAF
MAF Translator
24x12x3 Bar and Plate FMIC
ACT 2600# clutch
Kazz LSD
O2 External dump
3" O2 Back, No muffler or resignators ( 2 bends )
S-AFCII
AVC-R
Evo III 16g
Removed:
AC
Emissions
Balance shafts

I'm sure there is some other little shit that I have done to it but that is the big stuff. Hope you guys like the video. I should have another one when the track opens!

Re: I'm back, kinda... and Dyno results.

Just to let you guys know you either need to convert the file to WMP or MPEG in most circumstances. Or you can go to www.divx.com and download the free version and then you will be able to watch it fine...

ALL BECAUSE THIS MORON (joe) Wouldnt accept anything but AVI cause APPLE IS GAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: I'm back, kinda... and Dyno results.

Great to hear that the car is done--Jake said you all documented the process pretty thoroughly, so that is awesome! Take it easy on her for a while, though

(I know it will be hard with the 14b on there )

I know that when jake gets done on my new car, 97 talon tsi, it will be terrifyingly hard to go easy on it with the evoIII16g!!!!!! I told the wifey she can't drive it for AT LEAST 2 months until I get it broken in..lol.. then after she drives it i'll probably have to take it back to jake to get it fixed....
Glad to hear you got your car jake/97_3clipse let us know how much fun ya have!!!

well tonight i drove for a solid 3 hours in stop and go traffic.
dont worry joe i didnt take it a RPM over 4k .
as far as boosting the turbo all i can do is the "bird call" or chirp havent gotton on the gas and i wont till the cars completely broken in.
not to say any thing negitive aginst jake and his work (because he did a fine ass job) . i did have a nice oil leak , leaking from the valve cover gasket right on to the exhaust manifold, two bolts ended up being stripped.
now i also leaked oil from the dip stick(damn breather filter) but i zip tied that down. there still is a oil leak some were but ill just have to wait till tommorow to see were its comming from...(probally nothing big, its drips very very slowly)
i also changed the oil today , hope i dont loose all of it by tommorow..lol.. but all and all the car runs perfect and i love the clutch...the polyurthane motor mounts arnt as bad vibration as i thought they would be.....i just have to slim down my key chain to keep them from rattling...
also with the 14b i can feel the lag over the t25 especially in 3rd and 4th....your looking at a satified costomer.. iwould recomend jakes services to any one on this fourm or even in the US...

PS:if i had a dollar for every honda that took off at a light thinking i would race

-Jake
