Which controller (engine, ABS or air bag) gave you those codes? If was the ABS controller, then do the power check at the module. There are two 30A fuses above the main fuse/relay panel.

i think it was ABS giving--check supply voltage; air bag giving--resistance to great.
i pull the 2 30A fuses out but cannot see any fuses, are they inside the square boxes?

hi, i looked into the relay panel above fuses and saw 7 sq box relays;
3 on top row( numbered 109,18,21) ;
4 on bottom rom (numbered 99,36,53,167).

took the 99 and 36 out with following codes on them:
99 : 12v EAP PA6-GF30 357 955 531
36 : 12v HLO PP-GF20 3A0 951 307

99 has 6 pins; 36 has 4 pins.
both hv coils , caps and tiny contact inside

Am i taking the right relay/fuses?

The ABS fuses should be in the 53 & 54 positions. Also check fuses 23 & 16 in the regular fuse section. I don't have a position number for the ABS relay. It has six pins in use, #2 (red/white), #3 (grey/black), #4 (red/white), #5 (brown), #6 (black/yellow), #8 (two reds). You may need to ask VW for the part # to figure which one it is.

hi , i did the voltage test with key off for pin 1-35 and 1-53, both gave no reading;
so did not do the jumper for 19-34.

i also test the 3 elect sockets going into abs unit under hood, also no readings.
what should i do next? is abs module dead?

i also notice there is another unit under other passsnger seat, is that abs too?

If there's no power to the module #35 then you need to track back to the fuse. Make sure #1 is grounded. The other module is for the air bags.

where are the fuses of abs and air bag? there are only 22 fuses on panel and 7 sq relays( 109, 18, 21, 99, 36 53 , 167) above panel.

when i measured pin #1-#35 voltage, i put two metal pens on 1 and 35 of the female side of socket, how do i ground #1?
does power go to this module first , then abs sensors?

The quick test is to connect between the two & if the light works then you know both are good, if not you need to figure which is bad. Pin #1 is grounded, you make sure it is ground by hooking you're test light to battery positive & checking that it lights up when you tough pin #1. Pin #35 should be battery positive, you check by hooking the test light to ground & it should light up when you touch pin #35. The fuses are the hidden ones up above the main relay panel in the positions described earlier. Those relay numbers are not part numbers, but painted on reference numbers VW uses, it's better to use position numbers. Unfortunately I don't know either, but I suspect its not on the main 12 position panel. It's probably clipped on above as it was an option.

i still hv to check pin1 and 35 as you mention.
But i also discover 2 things:
1. these is a 5mm cable made up of 2 red/grey wires with screw hole near battery uncinnected. could that be ABS connection? or something else. I never notice that till now.

2. near screenwash bottle , there are two 20A fuse contained in a see-through plastic cover box , underneath is a feew sockets linked to wires.
what will that be and why is it presented different from other fuses?

BIG NEWS !!!
ABS LIGHT IS OFF.

inspecting the battery, i connected the 5mm loose cable near battery to positive end......the abs light went off straight. what a stupid thing a i did not notice before !! test drive for 50 miles over ramps and braking , has not come back on again,, my happiest day since i saw this light.

NOW my last problem to sort is the Airbag light, please see other mail just posted as new thread titled AIRBAG LIGHT ON .

Evidentally those were the power supply for the module. The other fuses under the clear cover are the cooling fan module & fuses.
