i hope that the two guys who started off the thread realize how stupid they can make themselves look. oh well. they will both learn eventually- hopefully sooner rather than later.

Speaking of which... has anyone seen RICO around lately? LOL

what?

ok, i don't quite understand you guys...two of you are saying we both look stupid.
i am not quite sure what i did to look stupid, except make the post too complicated for you guys to read.
i never said the cuda was a 440 6 pack. it's newbies like YOU that just make that assumption because one time you were watching speedvision and you think you know the car now.
by the way, the cuda is a 440 4 bbl.
it weighs about 3600 lbs, same as a talon...it makes a little more power, but it isn't awd and isn't a turbo so the two cars drive completely different from each other.
and fastr than you, i would watch who you call stupid.
here you are stating you have a 3800 lbs shovelle that can turn 11.6's with only 430 hp? maybe, but you also say you can get the car to 165 mph...something doesn't make sense, unless you are running a 6 speed tranny in the car. i don't know many 67 chevelle's that came with over drive...which is about the only way to make a car with the equivalent drag coefficient of a brick wall go that fast.
and svt cobra dude wasn't just talking about the econoboxes. he was stating that all imports ARE econoboxes. there is a difference.

Bud you had better watch who YOU call a newbie. Yes I do watch Speedvision but I think you can tell by my signature and avatar that I am a Mopar guy and I damn well know my stuff. I am sorry I mistook your Cuda for a 440ci six pack. They do make them you know. I just assumed being the 440ci six pack is a more popular choice than its four barrel counterpart. I was not ragging on you or trying to be an asshole and I am sorry if I came across that way, but there is no need to get so defensive and make assumptions that I am some brainless poser. You take too quick to defend and that is what makes you "LOOK" stupid.

lets restate

Okay, everybody forgot to take their medicine. When did they start putting computer terminals in mental hospitals?. Since i started this let me clear some stuff up. When i said econoboxes i was talking about the low end stuff like the civics. There are some decent imports out there like the WRX, 3000GT, 300zx twin turbo and the s2000. These are some real contenders with potential. The only thing i dont like about these are when there all botched up with stickers, jet wings and fat mufflers. This also goes for the v6 wanabe camaros and other cheap domestic stuff. Like chebby said, im sorry if this is on to high of a level for most of you to grasp. Most of you posted irelevent and stupid stuff in a manner consistent with one track minded rabid dogs. So enough of this topic, on to the next. Whats the deal with these stupid camaros........................................... .......... chevy sucks

good point, Polygon....

... and to mr. chebbysux, my HP and torque figures are from the rear wheels and are conservatively rated. it's better to be underestimated than overestimated in a race... case in point right here..... i also do not have an overdrive tranny, however it isn't very hard to bolt a Richmond right up. you can either believe it or not. the drag, although definetely not optimal, is much better than on some other cars out there (tri-five chevys, impalas.....) it happened, and it was scary, and i'm not doing it again, but i did it nontheless. and also, the chevelle is a bit lighter. the stock weight for a 1966 Chevelle SS396 (identical to the '67 mechanically) is 3,307lbs. (not 3,800 lbs), that is with the big block. i'm currently running a small block... the '66 ran 13's with the base 325HP 396 and 3.73s off the factory floor on OEM F70x14 bias plys. do you find that hard to believe too? go check out the October '65 issue of Popular Hot Rodding.... on my car, most of the sheetmetal, the bumpers etc etc was replaced during my restoration with repop parts which are a thinner gauge than OEM (much thinner especially on the bumpers). also, goin from cast iron manifolds to hedders and from an iron to aluminum intakeeliminates a few more pounds. i wish i had a weight to give you, but it is for sure WAAAAAAAAY below your "quote" of 3800lbs.

chebbysux, you should get your car facts straight, and you'd better know more about someone's car before you start talking them down. you obviously haven't posted a whole lot here, and i just don't want you to get off to a bad start. too many people come in here, show no respect, and everything goes to shit.

well, alright

okay, you might have got a point there.
but since i OWN a 10 second muscle car, and although it can do 135 mph in the quarter i doubt that i could get it anywhere above 145.
it has 4.10 gears and a 5000 stall converter, to run 150 mph it would have to rev like 8500 rpm or more.
so i don't see how your 11 second car could pull 165 mph, unless you are still running those 3.73's and the small block can spin 9000+ rpm
my satellite is smaller than your chevelle and it weighs 3500 lbs, and i have put a fibreglass hood and fenders on it as well as lightweight wheels and etc.
i had a dart with a bigblock that was 3300 lbs, so it doesn't make sense that that chevelle, a fullsized chevy, is the same as mopar's smallest muscle car in weight.
but i do believe that the car would run those numbers with that stock setup. most of those cars were deadly fast back in the day and still are.

well, i have been here 3 days and i already know who knows there stuff and who doesn't. 3 of you have your head's screwed on straight, the rest of you have watched too many movies.

omfg you guys are retards

ALL IMPORTS ARE ECONOBOXES HAHAHAH ok

i admit the NSX is abit of econobox yet it can still beat all yo shit since it can pull 12's ..... pretty good for an econobox?

ALL IMPORTS" ??

so ok

i don't think the Lamborghini Diablo is much of an Econobox?

i don't think the Jaguar XJ220 is much of an Econobox ?

i think you two are stupid

At least an Econobox doesn't have to go to the Petrol (GAS for you Americans) station every five minutes because they burn petrol faster than you can say "what are you talking about you stupid econobox driver?" (i'd like to point out that that is a slight exaggeration just so that you two know )

o and i think that top fuel's 550hp civic can take you altho now it isn't an Econobox

chebbie sucks said all imports

and the most recent SS can do 12's 1/4 stock can yours and if your car can how much more did you pay for it when it was stock ?

the new going away SS has 400hp i think thats pretty good

i think you two should shut the hell up this forum is open to everyone people who dis other peoples cars ( guilty *raises hand toward the vipers*) should shut the hell up especially when they just want to pick a fight (learnt my lesson done so in the past *raises hand again* ) but i think we should give you a second chance and if you say anything about anyone else's car on this forum you should be dragged out and shot

.... Ok these are not the real contenders.... Just look at any japanese comparo shoot out. What cars do you see there? You see GTRs, RX-7s, Lancers, NSXs, Supras, and from time to time a WRX. These are the high end Japanese sports cars that are more then contenders.

To high of a level for most of you to grasp? Just what lvl would that be? Infact I'm not going to even dignify that with a responce.
