Yeah - I cop that a little bit too. With the JDM springs that dropped my height though, I had zero dive but a really sore back so I can live with the compromise

Can notice the difference with the better struts....my car has always handled pretty good around corners....better now

How long before the sway bar comes in?

It's all been designed (20mm - I figured 22mm solid was too much for the road) and is ready to be made up (as well as the front strut brace), but I've developed high idle issues (1200-1400rpm when hot) and need to resolve that so guess where my money is going Right now neither moppie or I can locate the idle sensors/controls (other than the idle screw) on the B16A and I don't know whether replacing it will do the job or not.

The thought of selling the car and getting something mainstream Australian has crossed my mind a few times tonight

Yeah I know, but it's pissing me off and I hate the fact that there is very limited expertise with the car in this country. I get depressed over the whole thing (plus I took another knock in the door from a sodding 4WD in the car park today). I'm at the stage where I want a car that I can say "I need this part" and they give me the part or can let me know what's wrong without telling me "well the cars an import see..." (tech talk for "I have NFI and don't give a shit")

Hell - I want something with a bloody great carb on it, no EFI/ECU etc so that I can diagnose it easily.

That and I want Honda Australia to go fornicate with themselves for their crappy policies.

*phew*

Ok, I'll settle down now

Hmmmm....this is why I don't like parking my car on the streets....but in your own work car park ouch

I know that parts can be a pain...hello city turbo...same thing....

Its bad enough finding parts for my integra because its late model, and you have to buy everything new, but the best thing about your car is it is unique and rare

Ofcourse it would cost a lot.

Depends on what your thinking cams....etc

I'm considering it on mine later on, but I'm thinking money for city and holiday first

Besides I haven't starting killing the teg yet....well maybe only a little if the oil drop was any indication

The ITRs handle nicely out of the box - well the old ones do, I can't say I'm inpressed with the new psuedo-ITR we got. Not worth the money as far as I'm concerned.

I have a trip to Vietnam or England/France on the cards for after the Xmas hols - going to take my oldest daughter with me. That's my justification for not spending too much on the car.

Heheh - an oil drop Q? I've noticed that on long trips I'm starting to burn a little bit - mind you the oil was due for a change last time so that might have been it

Lets just say I topped up the oil just over a week ago, and only driven the car a few days during the week...remember caught lift with Lang to work...and was at my cousins place other day attempting to adjust coilovers, and he checks dip stick down very low.

He asked if there were any leaks....I said no.....

so me thinks...I did drive it a little hard on the days I drove it to work

Probably cause I'm not used to getting stuck in traffic, and now I have to drive in it

Mine handled ok, with just the front and back strut, on slightly lowered springs before. Better than my civic, ever corner....rear ending...although that was cause it had been hit in the back, more than once I suspect.

I didn't notice smoke or anything from your car though. Hard driving doesn't drop my oil (and I have 210,000km on the SiR) but the last long trip to Melbourne used about a quarter of a liter of oil. It could just have been that the mbil 1 was on its last legs though.

No it doesn't smoke. Bit strange....topped up a bit extra this time, I'll just keep an eye on it. But when I think back, I was doing a lot of weaving through the traffic....funny cause the trip to Mittagong didn't do anything, and only got the car serviced about 4000kms ago.
