Re: I want to get into street raceing

I believe that the current Stratus coupe is quite similar in to the current Eclipse (pretty sure its the same engine in the V6s), so the aftermarket is pretty decent for them. If you just want a car to put bodykits on, andysautosport.com has bodykits for lots of cars, even some that you wouldn't think(geo prizm, kias).

No only is it not as easy as you think but its dangerous.
I understand that you want to get into the whole streetracing scene and what not, but remember that you risk other peoples lives as well as your own when you race, so speeds in excess of 100 are very dangerous if you don't know how to properly handle your car.
Before you get all "happy go lucky" with you car, whatever it may be, i would suggest that you get a good feel for it and drive it for a while before putting money into mods (modifications) and what not.

understandable, I see it as not as dangerous because I race my dirt bike and blow by cars on the highway. (no i shouldnt be up there but i drive the bike to dumes around town) I see 4 wheels safer then 2 and I am just under that 100 mark sometimes. I loved it when I jumped on my friends bike a kx 350cc dam that thing had power I have no clue have fast it was but out of 6 gears I never got out of 4th (didnt have the room). I do drive, I have been for 4 years I drive about 45-60 as a avg speed. I learned fast aboud turning at speeds and thats stuff. I think I am ready and I will soon find out.

But I am late for work no lol l8r ill be back tomarrow to see what this threads comes out to.

haha exactly! People make it sound way more complicated than it seems. If you race your car on the street, its considered street racing. How hard is that? People need to get the fast and furious out of their head.

Re: I want to get into street raceing

I suggest a 4th gen Camaro/Firebird. They have a great aftermarket for parts, stock can reach 155+ and with little work you can get huge performance gains.
