The fact that an opinion can't be wrong is bullshit, there's no way you'll be making close to that power with those upgrades.

Re: Clutch

i dont mean to jump all over you but it reminds me of ricers who put an intake and exhaust on their D15 and say they make 130whp. please, Please continue to learn about cars and dont end up as a ricer.

Re: Clutch

you should learn realistic hp gains from each part. the only way you would have 220hp with a stock ka is with raised compression and maybe a stroker kit. now unless you're a rich mother fucker then you don't have 220 hp. you have 170 if that

KA24de doesn't need any head work, it is awesome stock.... it will support more power then a sr20'd head will. I thought you would have learned this by now.

you won't make 220hp to the wheels without a bigger straight through exhaust piping(single 3" mandrel bent no muffler that goes to the back bumper), no cat, good header, under drive pulleys, a/c deletion wouldn't be a bad idea either, stage II cams, valve springs, retainers, lightened flywheel, and a good cooling system. You could easily get 250rwhp with individual throttle bodies, and a custom tuned stand alone ECU system, besides that you can raise the compression to your tuning ability and fuel requirements.

By head work I meant changing cams and timing, not port and polish, sorry for the mix up and he means 220 crank hp since he said he was starting at 160.

Re: Clutch

yeah, sr20detpower, i don't doubt 250 is out of range with that setup but that is one expensive way to get to 250.. i'd be at 350 with a ka-t and the same amount of money.. maybe more

Re: Clutch

well im to late, but ill throw in my laugh for 20 hp gain on the intake. He must have bought it off a previous civic owner. Those civic intakes are minimum of 20 hp gains!!!!!!! Atleast thats what most of the "ricers" claim. Like today im at the gas station...this guy(i thought it was a girl by judging car color and pink lights) driving a purple civic(almost looks pink), had bad shade of red brake light bulbs, so they looked hot pink...no joke HOT PINK. He had a muffler and some 25 dollar rims and shit. O he thought he was a top contender, he started his car and REVED it all at once(way to let the oil start circulating before you rev the thing up to 5k, idiot). I was like omfg, got out called him out and he felt dumb and left. THe people on the pumps next to me were laughing and shit. We came together as a group and laughed at him together, lol it was almost like a movie. I felt proud, until i noticed the $2 dollar a gallon price tag.

Re: Clutch

woa woa woa there buddy ol pal. Were laughing at your stupidity!!!!! i mean come on, i have header, cat, 2.5 inch exhaust, i would say i gained 10 hp all together lol. Only thing i could notice is well its louder!!!!!!!! O its cuz i dont have your 20hp intake no wonder. I mean some of us actually like to tune our cars, and have common knowledge of what does what and what hp gains to expect. I hate to say it but i think you have just proven you may be somewhat of a ricer that is just buying parts to say you have them. I dont think you actually know why your buying them, other than that you can say a mod list and feel fast. The only way to make this car fast is through forced induction(well you dont have to go forced induction, but its more logical and cheap). You should do more research on the ka-t setup, they have basically made some quick spooling, almost lagless setups for our car. A supercharger really is not needed.

alright once again you are all entitled to your opinons, and if i find them of use i may consider them. anyways i got the info for my clutch that i needed[thanks fot that]. And this thread has gone off topic from a stupid claim i made[taking the mechs word] my fault i apologize.

So i hear greddy making some sick turbos for the 240, anyone got any info on others, looking for something with the least lag. Probably gonna buy in the next 6 months, considering i gotta save up about 3k-4k... Do installs myself, saves money that way..

None the less thanks for the info..
