Re: 2007 Skyline

I'm hoping there going to give us an AWD version. I know that the skyline is known for its incredible handling because of its AWD, but nissan has had a history of screwing the us market (remember the 155BHP 240SX?).

it will be awd, and ive been hearing that they are going to bring back the attessa system. not a definate though, but a possibility. im sure the hicas system will also be present.

and unlike past cars, the Infiniti GT-R will be marketed worldwide, as ghosn said at the tokyo auto show.

Re: 2007 Skyline

The hicas will have to be in the GTR because the skyline isn't a low car like an rx7 or other cars in its class.

Re: 2007 Skyline

#1 HICAS is shit.
#2 Why is this thread here. There is NO 2007 Skyline in the US
#3 The sig you have there, Driftmaster...is the flat out ugliest Skyline I have EVER seen. It is SIN to do that to a GTR!

The Veilside Skyline LOOKS like shit regardless of how powerful it is.
HICAS is SHIT whether you drift or not. I would deactivate it immediately.

Re: 2007 Skyline

BTW, the veilside r34 makes 1300BHp, not 1600. But it does hold the fastest 5000cc street legal car in the world at 215 mph.

You know this because you've driven one? HICAS is mega over rated.

BTW... 5000 cc?

The 2001 GT-R concept is only a concept. A second concept will be shown later this year at the Tokyo Motor Show. The production car will be closer to that.

Keeping in true GT-R 'Tour de Force of Technology' fashion, the next GT-R might have the new e4wd system, already seen on the Cube and Tiida. The e4wd uses electric motors monted on the wheels instead of additional differentials and driveshafts. It should be lighter and more responsive. That would leave the GT-R as a primarily FR vehicle, but the e4wd will kick in occasionally to aid in handling and traction.

Don't forget that the V36 Skyline will be out before the GT-R, with a further revised(improved over the F50 Fuga) version of the FM platform. The GT-R should be based on that new FM variant. We don't know what the V36 will look like yet, so there's really no telling what the GT-R will be like. The new concept at this year's TMS should give us some idea.
