Thanks everyone one for the information. I will start off simple changing transmission oil, looking at the TV cable and invest in intake system. As for when I was racing I was ahead of him when I smashed out If I would have kept accelerating he would not have caught me but instead I fell flat on 90 and he slowly began to pass me. By the way it does seem to shift faster in drive then overdrive. Oh yeah can mess up the transmission shifting from Overdrive to drive while driving? I have heard about racing starting out 1 then 2 and then switching to drive. |

Re: All show no go
sounds like a TV cable adjustment is in order. I redid the adjustment on my IROC and it made a helluva difference. The car ran like shit before, i did the adjustment and left rubber in the driveway. but ive also got the 350. The 305's are boat anchors in my humble opinion. especially if youre lookin at top end. You can certainly mod it up for more power, but the money would be better spent on a 350. just my two cents.

Re: All show no go
I think I adjusted the TV cable I removed the air cleaner and held the metal tad in and moved the cable housing up and it made about three click sounds then I pulled the throttle level all the away down a few times then adjusted it again then it made one more click.

Re: All show no go
somethin about that dosnt sound right. If you are under the hood, you should be able to push the tab in and let the donkey dick out a ways then get in the car, and floor the gas pedal, you should hear the sound similar to a zip tie as you press the gas down, and then you should be done.

thats the clicks he's talking about, sounds right...\
just dont attempt to adjust it too much, if you break it(15 years of crappy plastic makes it easy), its either replace the cable or get a fitzall cable end(hard to find) |
