I dont' know what day I'm going to go, depends if I take my nephew or not and if I go after work (I'm less than 2 blocks from Union). Surprised how many of us there are on this forum - funny how we'd probably walk right bye each other and not know it...

I've missed no more than 3 auto shows since 1994 and yes its definitely gotten bigger each year. Back then the entire south underground section of the Convention Centre didn't even exist. I remember how wicked the older programs used to be (for $4 mind you!) and when admission was $15 (or $10 for discounts), then in the late 90's the programs started getting crappier with less detail and recycled pics etc... and I stopped buying them. I went to the Detroit auto show last January and bought a program there and couldn't believe how absolutely shitty this program was! Absolute garbage, no real info and specs (didn't even have all the models in it). Then I saw a T.O program from last years show and I was impressed, they've seemed to put more effort back into those things.

The pic I like best is of the new C6 - I remember a few years back you couldn't even see the C5 (or maybe the ZO6) because they had it up on the huge display dangling over the side and you couldn't even get close to it. (you can actually see it in the picture on the top right - looks like maybe another red C6). I'm pretted excited about this years show.

And ya you really don't get out much if you haven't heard anything about the show...

Re: Anyone been or going to the '05 Canadian International Auto Show?

I went already. My camera fucked up on me...no its not the memory card nor the battery....its the stupid camera!!!.. I must have taken over 300+ high res photos, but only 90 showed up. It must have automatically shut down when I was not using it, thats what I'm thinking. I enjoyed the autoshow, but I didn't get some of the photos I wanted.

Anyone see the two '05 mustangs? Both in a color like raspberry red metallic? I think the mustang in that color was HIDEOUS...I prefer the yellow one instead.

I've got some decent photos....and since I went on satuday, the place was packed. I did manage to get a free drink and a rest at the MB VIP club on the 2nd floor because my cousin owns a 99 Merc.

I recommend going there, its only $20 CAD.

i'm going one more time on the 27th with all the Suislide guys. you really need to go more then once to take in everything.

anyone else see the Nismo R-Tune 350Z at the Nissan stand? that thing was HOT!

i'll post up the link to my pics once Jover (my buddy who owns the website) gets back from Cali and posts them.

edit: this was post 6,666 for me...kinda scary.

EXACTLY what I was thinking. Oh and btw, I didn't see the Z tune 350Z either. Was it the yellow one?

Re: Anyone been or going to the '05 Canadian International Auto Show?

the Z-tune was the black one you could sit in, and the yellow one was the 35th anniversary edition, and suislide proly got to sit in it on the media day, and hockeygod touched it (i was with him). i went again tonight and brought my camera, so i'll post pics in a min..

Here are some pics from this years auto show...nothing too great, and the lighting was awful. Flash on my camera isn't working so most of my other pics didnt turn out...

You guys are just lucky. I went on saturday, and the place was packed. I have a few photos taken from the Mercedez Benz VIP place...and it shows all the people. Was also the best place to take a shot of that Maybach next to the Mercedez Benz stand too..

tisk tisk DukeGirl. it's the ROGER'S CENTRE now...

anyways, yeah i got to sit in the Carrera GT on wednesday the 16th, which was the first media day. it was the only day that the car was open, on thursday they had it up on the turnstile. i also got to walk around inside the Ferrari booth, sat in the F430. but none of the others were open. i wanted to sit in the MC12 dammit!

and btw, the 350Z was an R-Tune, not a Z-Tune. big difference.

i'm going back again with Suislide (being my drift team. i don't mean i'm going with myself. we're not schizo. i mean uh...I'M...not...schizo...) on the 27th. if anyone is going that day, let me know and we'll meet or something.
