I got a 99 DX, and I used to use premium all the time.
I filled up once using regular and never turned back.

My car is mostly stock (i/e) but when I first used regular it seemed like the engine performed a little better! I know that sounds like a load but I'm telling you. I wouldn't have stuck with it if my performance went down at all.

IMHO 92 octane in a mostly stock 4cyl, naturally aspirated engine is a waste of money. Alot of people who swear by it have never used regular ever. ( I used to be one. )

All you 92octane guys try a fillup with regular and I bet you won't feel a difference except maybe a positive one. (Considering a modestly tuned engine and name brand gas)

Back to topic: 26-32mpg (75% city miles)

Nissan Skyline R33 GTS 25t
2.5L turbo
3” catless exhaust and Trust Airinx pod filter
60 Litre tank
I use 98 octane petrol (either BP Ultimate or Mobil Synergy 8000)
City driving mainly – bumper to bumper traffic
I get about 220 miles per tank (although I never let the tank get totally empty, so that’s for about 50 Litres).
