ok...

All i can say fo Intakes...is this since i havent Dynoed my car before intake or after i got it on. I can say that the car used to shift into 4th at about 103MPH Full Throttle and with the intake it now shifts into 4th at about 110MPH...But overall the sound of the intake is almost worth the whole price...Its an Automatic so its pretty accurate on shifting points.

Yea, its Import Tuner, but a dyno is a dyno.

A Dyno is a dyno but what Mono is refering to is Imports RSX intake shootout which is completley irrelevant since comparing the KA to the K20 is laughable.

Also... I highly doubt that the KA has a VE of 96%. 100% VE on an NA engine is pretty hard to acheive and a 15yr old Nissan Motor with what could hardly be considered a great head (as opposed to hondas B16 which has a mid 90s VE) IMO doesnt have the capacity for a 96% VE in stock form.

But whatever... Engines arnt my most knowledgable area.

Re: Air intake

You are correct. The KADE or E for that matter does not have a 96%VE. I just used that because its what the math came out to. And by no means is my math 100% correct. Its just for arguements sake. I was trying to say an intake won't do shit for an otherwise stock KA. Exhaust should come first IMO.

Re: Air intake

If anything, IHE will make the car sound a little better, and it'll give the person the impression that they are adding loads of power, well for those who can't afford a turbo, lol.

Re: Air intake

how does an air intake change your gear ratios?

think about what you posted. you just might be shifting at higher rpm

Re: Air intake

It just allows you to carry 4th gear a little farther( I almost typed farter.hahaha) because of a small HP increase. I bet you carry each gear a litle farther. HP falls off a little higher now. IF you raced a stock car vs a car with an intake from a 4th gear roll, at 103 the intake car would probably pull away from the stock car.
