Re: I got one

I dunno, it's still a lot of work, Jeff's has done 200K miles inc. racing without blowing, mines at 190k km and checked out fine, have you replaced yours yet?

as for the spark plugs i'll prob have them written down at work but for NGK i think it was REP6k's that rings a bell anyway, i've got champion plugs in at the moment cause they came out on top in a fast fours test, figured i'd try them... well aside from my 1 ngk platinum haha.

Re: I got one

Booking the car in this week for a full fluid change. I'll get the shop to check out my head gasket (and give me a guesstimate on how much it's going to cost to replace) as I think it has a small leak. Whilst I don't intend to up the engine performance for a while, is it worth me getting a metal head gasket and ARP stud bolts anyway? The main cost of this job is going to be labor, so I'm not too worried about the difference in cost of the parts, but does the block and head need surfacing to have a metal head gasket? That may put the cost out a little at the moment as I just got the car two weeks ago!
On a side note, TRD2000 and I did a bit of a car swap for a quick drive, and man my clutch peddle is soooo much heavier. I do notice that when I have the car in neutral there is a very slight rattle from the gear box (like stones rattling around), but when I put my foot on the clutch it goes away. Is there an easy way of finding out what clutch is in there?
Too many questions I know, but I'm trying to sort this car out.

headgaskets are not a common item to "blow" unless you overheat the car or have a rebuilt engine with ARP headstuds and do not retorque them.....

i'd also recommend the OEM DENSO plugs VS the NGK crap
