The HKS is garbage for 2 reasons:
1. It doesn't filter well at all (which is what you want from a filter )
2. The foam can fall apart and get sucked into your engine.

The major filters have been tested on the MR2 years ago. The HKS was the worst for letting junk through.

here soon i'll be able to offer a air intake kit for the MR2s -- will have a filter similar in size to Jeffs but can be used with the AFM + get rid of the OEM intake piping -- we will also offer a version for non/AFM as well (gen3 or gen2)

i should be able to get the AFM style prototype pipes done in a week or 2 -- the final version will be a "production piece" and will also have a upgrade for AFM-less or gen3 models

have already test fitted these and have the jig almost finished -- will be a slick liiking piece for sure
