Re: HP guess

roller rockers are worth 10-30hp depending on the application, pushrods are not nessesary unless you have reason to think they will fail on ya.

Re: HP guess

Ok sounds like a decent buy but i dont think ill get them right away. not interested in spendin a ton of money on this so eliminating things like valves and push rods are welcome.

Re: HP guess

BAD NEWS BEARS!!! Contacted the people at summit and they said the Comp Cams K-kit wouldnt work well with my truck. so the guy sent me some info about a bunch of parts from Crane. now the k-kit was $310, and to buy the stuff from crane that came in that kit would be $634. That just doesnt sound quite right to me. So i told the guy to try something different and i want all the parts that are in a k-kit and a cam that is designed to be used with a computer for less than $400. so i'll hafta wait and see what he comes up with.

Any estimate you can give would be great cuz i dont wanna pay big $$ for stuff and only end up with 300hp.
Well 2 tell u the truth with out the cam spec ,intake flow rates, head flow rates and valve size, rocker ratio, and a few other things it is hard 2 tell the amount of hp u will make. But just 2 guess for the hell of it i would say 325-350 maybe. But with that much mileage and upgrades only to the top end of your motor you will put alot of stress on that old bottom end and may kill your ride. So if you want to do all that you might want to put new rod and main bearings in it also just to be safe, but thats just me.
