Re: Forget Cobra - Bring Back "The Boss"
Really? Where did you hear this? The only 427 powered Shelby Mustangs I've ever heard of are the Super Snake ones, and all literature I have says 428s.

I asked my dad about the subject and he remembers hearing about the GT-500s with 427s. He says the reason their numbers were low is because the side oil pan made it very hard for them to get it into the engine bay. They were able to get it but it took more time and this is the reason they had low numbers.

Re: Forget Cobra - Bring Back "The Boss"
now i dont know to much about that corvette, but my understanding is its 500 hp for half the cost of a new ford gt. well like i said i dont know to much about that vette but id be willing it bet it couldnt handle with a new gt and the gt is 550hp and doesnt just get 0-60 under 4 seconds but gets it at 3.3. the only ferrari currently made that can beat the ford gt is the enzo, with costs somewhere around $600,000 more

Re: Forget Cobra - Bring Back "The Boss"
personaly i'd like to see Shelby get the Cobra name and make it like the 03-04 were more of a performance/luxory car.
Then ford can either have the Boss or Mach1 lable as more of a flat out performance car w/o as much luxory(little more then the GT) but still have a respectible power output. like GT: 300hp minimal luxory (car for those that just want a v8 stang) Mach1: 390hp mild luxory (no irs, more of a street/strip car) Cobra: 460hp luxory (better handeling, more of a "drivers car") |
