Re: Ideas for high lift jack
The only hard part up front is compressing the shock. Bilsteins will resist hard at first, then compress pretty easily. You probably already know you need an Allen wrench at the top of the shock to keep the rod from spinning while you wrench the bolt down. Also as per Bilsteins instructions (only on their site for some reason), don't compress the bushings, but tighten snugly.
Maybe a no brainer, but make sure the shock boots have the open side facing down. Beyond what OffroadX said, I think that's it. |

Re: Re: Ideas for high lift jack
Thanks for the info. What are the torque specs, or is that in the bilstein web site? Also, any trick I should know about the sway bar disconnect?

Re: Re: Re: Re: Ideas for high lift jack
I finally got some time to install my Bilstein shocks. It was no problem and they seem to improve the ride a great deal. Just a note: I had the shocks, from Spencer Low Racing, within 48 hrs of placing the order online! Now I have to get into my piggy-bank for the sliders we previously discussed. Thanks again
