Re: Unexperienced Drivers

Perfect example of why my 1st car was an Integra LS. It was peppy, I wouldnt even say quick, but with intake and exhaust it made learning to drive fun.

And I mean DRIVE, not "get from A to B without getting into an accident." 3 year process until I felt I could graduate to my MR2 Turbo. Heck even when I got this car, me in a 600HP Supra would be a problem...

But im sure I could gather up the will power to learn how to drive it once before going out and trying to show off,... with a car I didnt even tune myself... wow...

Either way, glad you're both okay, I dont race anyone who "just got their cars" or look that young because what if mommy and daddy bought him a faster car than I have, and he spins out from infront of me into me... then I lost my car for a race that wouldnt have made my night anyways...

Re: Unexperienced Drivers

my first car was a 93 Buick LeSabre. after driving that, i drove a 91 Nissan NX2000, and then i drove my dad's 02 PT Cruiser for a little bit.

after all those slowww cars, i graduated to a 98 Mustang GT. i know it's a relatively slow car, but i didn't know hardly anything about cars when i got it, so in my ignorant opinion i thought it was pretty fast. i am ashamed to admit that i almost killed myself 2 or 3 times in that car. that's what happens when you open up the throttle on a car that you don't know anything about.

i've since learned my lesson. i drive my 98 Camaro Z28 like a grandma. the only time i bury the pedal is at the track, and i rarely go over +5 the speed limit. i wish all these lame kids that get quick cars from their parents (myself included) could learn the same lesson.

Re: Unexperienced Drivers

Lol, if I would have gotten a 600 hp car when I was 17, I'd be dead by now...my mom was flipping out as it is when I got the maxima when I was 16 because it had more hp than my dad's '97 'stang GT and her explorer.

Re: Unexperienced Drivers

"Man...how big are your curbs? I mean, I'm just trying to imagine how big a curb would have to be to flip a car over? You gotta try to do that. My first car was a Rav4, and I hit a curb bad and bounced, but it didn't roll at all, and its a lot easier to roll a Rav than a Supra. Man, that sucks."

LOL, my first car was a rav4...damn I had some interesting times in that car though

I found it weird too.....I can't really explain it but I can imagine your car didnt have 600hp and a quick question did you hit the curb sideways???

Thats the only way I can think of that a car (specially a supra) can flip like that.

Re: Unexperienced Drivers

The only thing I can think is he took off...started fish tailing...rearend flys out...kid panics and trys to steer it...steers it too much and ends up making the car go into a 180...the rear hits a curb...and flips the fucking thing over. Wow.

Re: Unexperienced Drivers

Hye where is this car from, I heard of some 15 year old kid getting a modded out Supra around my hometown(Just outsaide of Philly, PA) from his father, TT to I believe, hell I can't even pay insurance for my 5.0 Mustang his insurance is gonna be insane, and he'll kill himself, just happy everyone was ok in the end, but damn he kinda deserves it for being so closed minded, I mean how the hell do you expect 600 HP to act like a tame little kitty or like the freaking tire eating lion it is....I wish I had 600 HP ::Cries cause he drives a 1972 slant six plymouth Duster::

hmmm hmm hmmm. My first car...well van was a Toyota Previa...it was a beast...200,000 and still goin strong. I'm pretty close to that kids age tho, but glad that I got a stock car and didnt get a car with insane speed and/or mods...although it will have some soon...hehe. Punk got what he deserved tho, but too bad he didnt know any better. In fact, I drive my van sometimes just cause its more relaxed and feels safer. People really should learn from this kinda crap happening and know that...yes...I'm gonna say it--------> "With great power, comes great resposibility" -spidermans' pops
Speed is good, but make a damn good attepmt to keep it safe eh?

Ah and forgot to add...Supras are my dream cars and I will love them to death forever despite the traction issues. Poor kid?!?!?! Poor Supra. Dammit I'm just angry now.

I hope this doesn't happen because it would really suck.
The kid trashes this Supra, goes home, his parents are all "the important thing is you're ok but you be more careful next time ok?", and they go out and get him a Ferrari because he made the puppy dog face.
Hopefully that's not the case but if it is I hope he gets a few bones broke in him next he crashes to get the message through his skull.

He'll end up with a BMW. It's a safer car after all.
