Re: perf shift

MY read of it is that with the perf shift on, you'll get shifts like those of a manuel trans.

You don't really get manual shifter type shifts in that you don't have to manually shift. You can still put your car in "Drive" with Performance Shift on. Performance Shift feels more like you've added a shift kit to your transmission.

Personally, I think Pontiac was "Dumbing Down" the GP in preperation for the new ('04) generation. IIRC, '00 was the last year for factory Performance Shift.
