You mean G35 With skyline engine?

It will? Damn. Last I heard was just that the Head boss of toyota said there will be a new supra. Didn't say that was it tho oh well. The supras had been getting progressively uglier. that one takes the cake imo.

Re: New Supra and Skyline coming out

The G35 coupe is the skyline in japan, there is just no current GTR model. Most JGTC(I think thats right) race teams that use the skyline are also now using the new skyline(G35) instead of the old GTR's.

And I officially watch too much TV.

yes the camero is coming back, and the same for the skyline. but the 3000 isnt. what mitsubishi is doing is giving the eclipse a raw amount of seroids and pumping it up. however dodge, is bringing back the stealth because they have no mid price car they just have the stratus which is cheap and the viper which is pricey.. and the stealth is said to be coming back in 2008..

I've not heard that the stealth is coming back - and my brother-in-law is an executive at Damlier.... Perhaps a link would be in order.

and as for subaru, they have the STI so i doubt they will bring back their SVX which was never that special anyways...
You fool, they already are, see.

As for the return of the Supra, GTR and 3000GT, it is obvious Nissan is intending to make the GTR, when its coming out, how it looks and what are its exact specs. As for the Supra, I do not think a the new Supra will come in the form of the Voltra (different car for different market) but rather a turbo or somethingcharged 6 cylinder based on the new upcoming MR2 platform. And as for a new 3000GT, I have a feeling something based on the whole Eclipse hybrid concept that will fill in the void for a high end sports car.

Re: New Supra and Skyline coming out

what I said about the skyline is only an hypotesis, maybe they will change the model but, i'm 100% sure they used the G35 ONLY to test the new engine, but G35 is known as Skyline in japan ( Infinity Skyline ) so they might keep this current skyline G35 frame for the new 2007...but who knows ? alot can change in 3 years

Well the B11S is being heralded as a "utilitarian grand tourer" which is sort of funny because Subaru made one other car as a grand tourer, which was originally shown as a concept in the 1989 Tokyo Motor Show. Can you guess which one it is?

I'll eventually find a website that explains the obvious sooner and in a shorter article.

i always liked the SVX, only if it came in a manual gearbox. had more power and if it was a little bit smaller to help with weight. the thing is less of a GT than it is a standard luxury car. oh well, i might purchase one later for a daily driver/winter car because you can get them dirt cheap...and they are very unique. my opinion...

Its true the SVX is more regarded a luxury coupe, even though from what I recall the definition of grand tourer usually means going at speeds of 90- over 100 smoothly which means without jitters and with ease of handling at those speeds (meaning lane changes and turns that can be sharpish but not hairpin) which the SVX does have, not to mention doing all of this in luxery. That class never mentions how long it takes to get there. But it is true the SVX is of mostly performs in the realm of sports cars as a luxury coupe caliber, stock.

But I never said that I regarded them as a high speed utilitarian wonder tourer, thats what Subaru said about it. And the same is being said for the B11S, which leads me to believe that Subaru is thinking of producing it in limited numbers like the SVX. The question is did the dismal sales of the XT and SVX scare them from considering.
