at 10k on your engine it sould be all broken in. i've been up to 120 and had still had some rpm left but backed off. if you drive a civic don't shift into 5th, the gear ratios and drag dont work together, top speed is achived in 4th gear unless you have altered the gear ratios or are pushing 200+ hp.

I average 80mph on the way to and from work every day (depending on how thick the traffic is). That's like the speed limit up here lol
I've been cruising at 80 right next to CHPs and they won't so much as glance over. (...well maybe at MY car, but not the other traffic around me going the same speed )
I've only gotten my car up to 120mph coming down the Sierra mountains from Reno. I was trying to see where she'd top out at but my radar started going off to all hell and 2 miles later after I slowed down I cruised by one of our '98 Camaro CHP cars sitting on the side of the road.

Here in So Cali, if you are going less than 80mph people are trying to run you off the road.
Every morning I am around 115 on the way to work. Gotta love toll roads!

i've done 112 in a dx auto, i was afraid to go any faster because of the tire rating in the 90s, i hope to beat that with the new tires.

Now look what all this 'whats the fastest u ever went' talk did...

If you speed, make sure you're not putting anyone else's life in danger (ie Other cars, passengers...) ...and I do hate to state the obvious

oh yea whats the speed rating on tires mean? No grip above xxx mph?

speed rating is what speed tires can take without falling apart.

No ones life was at risk except my own....I never drive that fast in an area where I could cause any harm to anyone. Its on a deserted road near the beach about a good 5 mile straight run with no entrances for cars to enter the road.

Well Im not really sure about this! I have the european version of the EX with a manual transmission and I have a speed limiter, no doubt. It does exactly at about 112.5 mph stop the engine from going faster and this thing is just a pain on the german autobahn:frog: No really, I dont think u need to go faster than this...
