Modmech you said go to tccoa.com to show the best way to do it. WHAT DO YOU THINK THAT IS? It is still a shif kit even if it isn't put out by a company. You can't adjust one thing without compensating with the other. What good is adjusting the computer when the tranny doesn't have the capabilities to follow its command?

WTF are you talking about?
When you understand how an AODE/4R70W/4R75W works, and how the EEC controls it, THEN come back here and try to start an intelligent discussion about how it will or won't work. You fail to understand I did not write those articles at tccoa.com, the ENGINEER who built the A/Ts DID, and HE knows EXACTLY how the AT is controlled by the PCM, and EXACTLY what you can and cannot do. I understand a lot about it, and still do not have a "mastery" of it, and I never claimed to. I can tell you that what "J" suggests you do to your trans will NEVER hurt anything, and that a factory PCM is WELL capeable of dealing with the changes. Thousands of people have done this, and they are ALL happy with the results. I know LOTS of people who have purchased "shift kits" (more appropriately termed trans destruction kits), who have lots their A/Ts shortly after the install, due to the INCORRECT changes being made to the VB, seperator plate, check balls, and line pressure.
