Re: SKYLINE STOLEN!!! Help me out guys...

i_love_skylines has a nasty nact for posting retarded things... Dont take it to mind.

As for all of you saying "Anyone who steals a Skyline should be put to death!"... WTF Mate?

I understand how much effort goes into getting a Skyline... And how attached you feel to a car after you've poured your heart, soul, and cash into it... But still, its just a car. And not even that amazing of a car at that.

It sucks your friends car got stolen, it really does... But dude, if you think about it... Its just a car. Not a human, not a living thing, not an entity of all that is pure and true... It is just a car.

But good luck finding it... My personal opinion is that they had buyers for parts off the car before they even did the job, so there will probably be no Ebay'ing off parts more than likely. My bet is that the car is in 25 different pieces being shipped out all over America... And also, its more than likely someone your friend knows. It was deffinately premeditated, they had to know it had the transmission out, they had to know exactly where it was, how to get it out, etc etc. So just pick over your friends with a fine tooth comb.

... But once again... Good luck.

Re: SKYLINE STOLEN!!! Help me out guys...

Well, there was a deep Purple Civic w/ R34 Lights, Rear tail lights, so he might have been talking about that one. But it clearly said R33, and this one, if anything, would be mistaken for an R34.

Re: SKYLINE STOLEN!!! Help me out guys...

Its not a US legal car, so more than likely no insurance = your friend is out a lot of money. Which really sucks, but when you import illegal stuff it can bite you in the butt.

*So it's been something like a year since I've last posted here, and it's vastly unfortunate that this has to be my first post back.

A friend of mine in Indiana just contacted me about his STOLEN SKYLINE. My first thought was to post on AF and let everyone know I'm begging for help here. Since this is, to my knowledge, the biggest group of auto enthusiasts on the web, I'm hoping you guys can help us out and hopefully get some leads on this terrible crime.

The Skyline, a 1995 GTR was stolen from inside my friend's shop in Indianapolis, Indiaia (with no signs of forced entry, if I understood correctly). It's a deep purple R33 with 350Z wheels on it. It's got Sparco racing seats and a big custom single turbo manifold. The engine has a black chrome powder coated valve cover. When they stole it there was no transmission inside it, but the transmission was in the shop; they stole that too.

It was taken *YESTERDAY* Sunday, the 19th of December.

It's tragic and incredibly sad to see such an amazingly beautiful car with so much work and effort stolen in cold blood. In my personal opinion, people like this should be put straight on the express lane in death row. No trial, no jury... just straight to execution.
If anyone sees it, hears anything, knows anything, WHATEVER, call me (573-268-4569, MATT), post it up here, email me ([email protected]), anything. I really appreciate it guys, and I guarantee you so does my friend. I know an amazing amount of time, effort, and money went into this and an insurance check just isn't going to bring back the unique custom work and the god-knows how many hours spent fabricating it, not to mention the fact that a skyline is ALREADY an amazing pain in the ass to get (and of course, just a little on the pricey side). I really appreciate whatever help anyone could provide.

Thanks everyone.

Man, thats made me angry reading that, these people really piss me off, i don't think they realise how much time and money people put into there cars, dicks.

no shit! Postalink if you're serious. No these guys knew what they were doing though. They were thorough. ebay would be far too sloppy.

That's what I said. It had to be inside somewhere and they're not going to steal it to leave it in a u-store for the next 6 months trying to find people to buy stuff and waiting for the heat to die. I figured she'd be stripped to the bone and parted to high buyers.
