Re: Car problems

can i use that, instead of the stock crap, even tho the AIV doesnt connect anywhere, i have a little filter thing that goes on the aiv too, it looks like an air filter, but thats as black as the stock air filter " used to be red", the previous owner had those 2 filters installed

Re: Car problems

what do you mean?? you have a filter but it has no plug?? no filter has a plug.. is it a cone filter? is the smaller one a cone filter? i have the feeling that you're talking about an aftermarket cone.. which needs to be installed. but then again i really can't tell.. be a little more descriptive.. which 2 filters did the previous owner have installed?

If it is on the engine side of the throttle body, it is the Throttle Position Sensor(TPS). www.240sx.org is going to have just about everything you need to know about tune-up stuff in better works than we can put it in.

Re: Car problems

k, their installed, my car seems to want to stop running when i first start it, it idles at 490 - 550 rpms, but after i drive it or let it run for about 10 min, its fine, before the aftermarket air filter and the AIV filter, it didnt do that when i started it, it would want to stop or act like it want to turn off when ever i stop at a light / stop sign...
and the throttle feels diffrent, i dont get as much go as i did b4

i also cleaned the MAFS with a q-tip and alcohol
