The car I want to import is not a Skyline. I was just wandering how that scam would work. I was not actually going to it. Initialy I planned to import this car to Canada where it will be legal in 3 years. I have family who live in Seattle who know people in Canada and may be close friends. If they are then I can work something out that way. None of this would be a problem if the law was not 25 years. This was not about importing skylines but about importing a car generally. First I wanted to wait until the car was 25 years old in 2017. But do you know how hard it is to find a car thats 25 years old in good shape. By the time the car is 25 years old it will be a piece of shit. If you import a car 25 years or older you may have to spend alot of money in restoration work after already paying for the car and having it shipped here. You could have the car shipped to Canada and kept there which would not be a problem if you own land there or know someone there.

If I import the car in 3 or 4 years when its legal in Canada it will be 9 or 10 years before I can bring it to the U.S. 9 if I do it in 4 and 10 if I do it in 3. Of course I wouldnt leave the car ther e for 10 years I would go there from time to time as a vacation to drive the car, have fun while Im there and of course joy ride the car. But with in safe boundaries though.
