itd have to be pretty tall gearing, so tall as to seem too tall for a 3 speed. but its not too far-fetched for me. i believe it.

i mean, why the hell would someone brag about beating a stock accord unless it was true?

Well, I would love to go to NZ. I hear it is a very pretty place, or so I'm told. I guess it is possible with some VERY tall gearing, but I am just doubtful. Though I wouldn't question you beating a Honda Accord.

I think it's true , cmon its 3speed it has to be tall , my lexus LS400 with 4spd was doing 80 kmh in 1st ( that's 50 mph) anyway 110 kmh is 68.75 mph , some of you were even telling 80 so hope that straights it up , anyway my porsche turbo does almost 110 kmh in the first gear and it's 4 speed manual... There were also some lotus cortinas in the 60s that made 60 mph in the first gear.... It is possible...Also lamborghini diablos have tall gearing , they're 5 speed and do like 130 in the second , they even do 100 in reverse (yeah i tried that)

I'd love to go out to New Zealand..... but I doubt I'll be takin that trip any time soon...

but I beleive ya about the speed in second... my 98 Dodge Ram 5.2 auto will do almost 75 in second, it kicks into OD at 100mph exactly, done it "a few" times its sooo much fun to do in a big truck.

oh it's true, first off, when i had my 97 accord, i could hit 79 in 2nd gear just before redline, and 47 in 1st, 2nd off, it's a 3 speed, lol, theoretically for it to one: be economical, and two: for it to be driveable on the highway, it would have to have very tall gears, cuz without it, you'd be driving 70mph on the highway while going about 4k rpm's, so of course this isn't bullshit, it seems very reasonable, if only you people would think before you speak, thinking outside the box , now i'm just rambling, peace
