To me, it looks like the inside edge of the light cover is the correct height, but the outside edge looks to be at least 3cms lower, or just over an inch. I'll try to find a photo of a normal car from a very similar angle this weekend and put them up side by side for comparison. Its definitely not an optical illusion, but the change is so slight that it does leave you wondering.

The clear opening for the head light is definitely narrower.

The ad is bogus - the info is wrong. Safe bet is to ignore it. That car is not the same color as the one in these shots. There are reportedly only two F1s that have received an LM-spec engine and that certainly isn't one of them though the car that started this thread could be, but that's just my guess.

The car in the ad is #045 so you might find more photos of it searching the forum.

It's kind of cool - they are like action shots.

I wish the plate was legible. Anyway, thanks for the continued updates. It's a shame you were not the one who saw the car Phil.

Re: two things maybe interesting...

snif

The man who took these pics has seen more than ten different F1 5 road cars then 5 GTR the same day at the Castellet !
I will try to make him come on the forum. He spotted a german F1 in Monaco for example !

Ciao
Phil

I can't say that the square headlights do much for me ...

But this is a VERY, VERY sexy F1 shot ...

Re: two things maybe interesting...

Hello,

I will meet the person who saw 12 different F1 !!!! And ask him to scan his pics.
Other thing maybe important but I don't know if it is accurate : someone would have seen a blue F1 with Californian plates on christmas saturday in front of Georges V hotel I think at this one in front of a house or perhaps Lauren's ?

I will search this afternoon.

Ciao
Phil

Re: two things maybe interesting...

If it was blue from california it was probably xp4. That is in CA and is owned by Larry Blair. Lauren's car(s) is/are silver.

Thanks Chris, I had a doubt on Lauren's F1 color.

I found nothing for the moment.
