STi has done little to combat the new MR in the USDM. I wish FHI would make a stripped STi for limited production just to show the MR who really has the better car. Make about 1000 of them as an MR-beater and sell the rest of the STi's the way they already come. Subaru is fully capable, but the car just won't sell at that trim level because people (especially Americans) want a stereo and an A/C and the like... and we don't want to pay extra for it.

part of it depends on where you live, AWD in the WRX is a very nice thing to have..... either way, i think the subaru is better than the evo in all the aspects i have knowledge of.

They are both great cars, I just traded my 03 WRX in on a new 05 Evo VIII. It came down to a better deal, got the Evo for $1500 under the sticker and no destination charge.
I did drive both cars and love them both but all around I feel the Evo is a better car and free oil changes for first 45K mile also helps.

If Subaru had matched the discount I might be driving the STI
