Re: Re: 3k vs gsr

His 14.7 was with a terrible 60'. He doesnt know how to launch too well. On his 14.7 run I was his opponent. I ate him alive out of the hole because I know how to launch and I know how to time my launch. But by mid track he was blowing past me. I had like a 2.3 60' on a .005 reaction time using a .000 as best. So my timing was almost perfect.

When he raced the GSR on the highway it hung right with him till they started up a small hill. The GSR started falling out of his powerband. I got the same story from both drivers so its not like its one sided.

jdridah all SL's are DOHC. The knight kit has had nothing but issues from what I have heard out of many people who have had them. Also the rated 222hp out of DOHC's is generally thought of as being, well, overrated. With the dyno numbers put out by healthy stock DOHC's it looks more like the number is about 210 stock. Another thing you must realize is peak hp doesnt always make a fast car. It depends on gearing and alot of other factors such as where the peak hp is. Plus GSR's have the ability to breathe to 8k rpms if I remember correctly.

After saying all that I concur with 3kgt8 said. Its a drivers race stock for stock.

One more thing just because it has a GSR badge doesnt mean its a GSR. I have seen quite a few Type R's, that were nothing more than a LS converted. I dont doubt the win, dont get me wrong, but if it was a GSR it would have been much closer than you reported it to be.
