Re: New to driving and camaro

the snow hit here yesturday. i went to work and it was just a normal november day in Michigan.. cloudy and 30.. and i came out of the store about 10 hours later and found 6 inches on top of my camaro.. and i dont have an ice scraper or nething.. so i just let the heater run for a half hour until it melted the ice on the windshield.. but i was doing a good 65 on the highway.. it wasnt that bad.. most people in SUV's were doing 45 or so.. but if you know how to drive you'll be fine.. but definately get to know how easily it spins.. take it to an iced over parking lot and work on it a little bit, it helps.. and definately dont hit the brakes hard..

Re: New to driving and camaro

that body crap sucks dont get it. keep it looking like a drag car instead of a rally car.
a camaro is a nice car to own/drive. just dont get stupid with it and goose it around some turns when its wet out. i did it and over corrected it slid into a tree, side swiping it and almost took off my mirror. put a dent on the passanger door and smashed mirror a little and got some scrapes. it suck when the car you love get messed up even if it isnt that bad and can be fixed without that much money. i crap i didnt see page 2 until i already typed this much o well

My gas mileage could be better
Being 16 means you are very likely to have an accident within the next year. That is simply how it is. A Camaro with a good V8 makes that even more likely. Beat the odds, be careful. She has a lot of power. Don't forget that.

Re: New to driving and camaro

How did you get your insurance that low? I'm 17 and mine will be about double that (already called, but haven't put it on yet).

If you are one of the few that got a Camaro for his first car, be sure to take care of it, show the insurance company that not everyone screws up.

Driving in bad weather isn't as bad as some people tell you. Just don't panic or slam on the breaks.

I'm 17 and I just bought a 94 Z28 back in August, and my insurance is real cheap, but I also got the "good student" discount thing. Mine's not even $100 a month. Maybe I just got lucky.

yeah i wouldnt worry to much about getting stuck my friend had a '87 rs for a couple years and he only got it stuck once when he was doin cookies in a parking lot in a couple feet of snow. That is a good deal on insurance though i got a friend who has a 98 TA and his is about 200 a month but mine is only like 350 every 6 months on my 99 ss but i think thats cause im on a family.
