well

preping motor u mean upgrading fuel pump, get fuel pressure regulator? cause i really don't want to have to build the engine up inside. I'll use lower boost if i have to.

Preping the motor being lower CR do some work on the crank new rods pistons maybe some head work

and yes fuelsystem too

as for as putting down 200WHP and running 13 maybe even 12s... um no
maybe if you have a fully striped down car

Im looking at pushing 250-280WHP out of my 2170LBS civic and Im hoping to hit mid to low 13s maybe have a 12sec car from a rolling start but if you do the math and run the #s 200BHP out of a very torqueless engine will not get you under 13s

plus I really don't think the D block will hold up long with 200BHP so you would need to prep the engine unless you want a quick car for a week or two

I think with turbo low 14s maybe..... maybe high 13s

did you guys see the SCCM Supercharger review 272BHP and it ran 14.4 yes hooking up was a big problem but I don't think over 1.5 secs worth to break into the high 12s mark and thats with 72 more BHP over the other setup

same goes for the Type R 1/4 mile test from the Ultimate street car challenge had 242WHP yet only made a 14.7 pass at the track yes once again not setup for drag but like I said before no more then 1.5 secs was lost

also 210BHP is what a Eclipes has stock "GST" it weighs 2900LBS
if at 2100LBS a civic with the same BHP yet less torque should run high 12s-low 13s that would make a stock GST Eclipes run 13.8 or less in stock form

money for power the B16-B18 would be the best way to go becuase if you want anything over 180BHP you will have to really build the motor up unless you wany a fully track car thats not streetable "atlest I would not trust it"

its your money and your car just do the reserch I've found alot of drag times online you can use to get an idea of what your car would run

check out

http://www.g-speed.com/pbh/fastest/turbo-only.html

it has a few listing

theres one Delsol SI running a JRSuperCharger with a 70 shot of NOS and hes running 12.5

every other civic running turbo is running 14.1 or slower

Actually your 9:1 compression should be good for boost but lower compression= more boost.
I would leave it like that for now and just invest on a better fuel system and if you can some reinforcing on the engine.

Theres a guy around here (VTC Civic) that has a Turbo EX runing at about 8 PSI on completelly stock internals, just a better fuel system. He's been runing the turbo for about 8 months or more and no single damage whatsoever to his engine.I think he puts around 194hp to the ground with his set up.

the d-series motors are just as strong as the b-series motors.....there are plenty of guys running 10lbs daily, 12lbs at the track (stock bottom end, good fuel management)....the CX only weighs 2100lbs....I've seen hatchbacks with an ITR swap hit 12.9....you should be able to hit at least low 13s in a CX with 200whp

in that case my 2170LBS civic by summer time should have 250-280WHP
after going on a little diet Im hoping to knock 70LBS off "anytips guys?" anywho it should set me well in the 12s at the track even tho I really don't think it will but hey if I keep thinking 13s and hit 12s I wont mind at all plus theres no let down =)

Yeah, I've been to the track many times and have seen EG civics run low 12's over and over, you just have to have knowledge time and money, though this way will save more money than doing a swap. You can already be going fast at the price to swap in a new engine. Besides at least this way you can always learn and in the chance of a detonation, do the swap or do the d16 up again!

Re: Turbo the D16z6 or drop in B16A?

The point was that you didn't even ask a question, that would be a little more understandable. I don't see why they'd have the forums locked, maybe it's a trial thing when you first sign up (to make you read and search before even consider posting a question). I'll post in your thread, so I don't continue jacking this one; I've got some info for you...
