I got mufflers!!!

Well guys, i stopped at my favorite muffler shop today & asked the owner if he thought i should scrap the resonator ,to get a little tone, or if he suggestede mufflers. I told him i didn`t wanna break the bank.
He suggested an economy turbo muffler (Imco) i think it was, (like an economy version of a dynomax), and i told him i didnt want it really loud or annoying. He said lets start with a pair of those, then if i wanted it louder he would take the resonator off after. He did the mufflers only for $100 total, & it has a nice "rumble" at the tailpipes:-) but isnt loud by any means. I may have the resonator taken off later, but for now this is a welcome change.
These cars are too awesome to have totally quiet exhaust.
I had him lower the factory tips & bring them out the back just maybe an inch more than stock & they look SO much better!

****BTW !::: The factory mufflers are A JOKE!!!!!!!!!! I looked inside the inlet end, and the pipe reduced down to almost ONE INCH DIAMETER!!!!!!!! I was apalled!!! They must`ve been TRYING to hold the car back from the factory!!!! I don`t see how the airbox mod can do any good with stock mufflers. But, rest assured that if you want better flow, it`s WELL worth your money to lose the stock mufflers!

Yo whats up guy just wanted to let you that this does deserve to be pampered as a solid V-8, thats why i hooked my Aurora up with a set of Dynomax turbo 2s and then I put a set of 92 chrome vette tips on it the tips took some modifications but they sit right at the edge of the bumpers and really make the ass end look even that much more vicious esspecially with those fat 255-35-ZR20's sizing it up. Well the kit is being put on as we speak. What a christmas present my woman takes care of me. if you want to check it out the car is posted on sounddomain nc Aurora is the name any further questions holla at me on My yahoo for a quick response [email protected]

I've been saying this forever, an exhaust mod on the Aurora is highly recommended. The car chokes on its own exhaust...literally. The system is so restrictive, anyone with a performance exhaust swears by them.

Re: exhaust Mods

Anything is better than stock. By better I mean better for the car not just the V8 junkie like me.

Thumbs up

i REPLCED THE STOCK MUFFLERS WITH DYNAFLOW 2 1/4 IN AND 2 1/4 OUT MUFFLERS. aT THE SAME TIME I ELIMINATED THE RESONATOR AND RAN 2 1/2 PIPE ALL THE WAY BACK TO THE Y. SOUNDS OK, NOT SPECTACULAR BUT IT RUNS LIKE AN ESCAPED CONVICT. BOUGHT THE MUFF'S FROM SUMMIT AND THE LABOR AND PIPE WORK COST ME $135 LOCALLY.
