Re: 1998 V6 3.8 Camaro Exhaust help

put a magnaflow muffler on my gf's RS 3.8.. Sounds a little ricey.. Not too bad at low rpms but it starts to sound bad at about 2200rpm.. and gets worse the higher it goes..
I want to try the Borla catback for the V6..
But as mentioned, nothing you get will sound like a V8, especially at high rpms..

Hey man I'm new to this chatter box but I was reading up on your exhaust problems. Yes you can get that sound. I will not ever claim to know it all but this is something i figured out through many different types of exhaust packages. A friend of mine owns a muffler shop and let me just say i went crazy trying to get that sound. You know that mello v8 sound. Not the rice or the ting ting ting . I have a site out there it's been so long but it's www.geocities.com/kellyaustin_2000 please check it out. You can get a factory gm v8 muffler with single in/dual out with a resinator between the cat and the exhaust and you are there "I PROMISE" please let me know how it turns out for you. And yes both cars on that site are mine. Dont let anyone tell you what you can't do. Keep the faith and let it be known you can do it I've had a company called 1320 feet technologies for some time and it's a company designed specifically for v6 f-bods. Let me know how it goes and keep em running
