The shifter kit sounds like a good thing to buy. Its really cheap too.

Re: shifter kit

My shifter kit should be arriving soon. I ordered it from Mach V last week. I called and spoke to one of the guys that works there and he told me it works real well without a short shifter. So i'm gonna try it by itself first and then I might get a B&M or OBX short shifter off of ebay later on. Have any of you tried the shifter kit without a short shifter??

Re: shifter kit

See my previous post, 2 above yours. Short shifter and shifter spacers/bushings are two seperate mods with two different purposes

Re: shifter kit

Yeah I know that they are two separate mods. But, both change the way it feels when you shift. I know that the short shifter reduces the distance it takes to switch between gears but I just wanted to know if anyone had tried the shift kit without a short shifter.

Here is his post. He explains that he doesn't use a short shifter and he explains why he doesn't. I just wanted to clear that up.
