By the way, that's a bad sign that you are supporting a side, any side, without finding out what that side's flaws is first. Blind loyalty is never good.

the main reason why id go for kerry over bush is because of the war, i dont think bush did everything single thing he could before the war. do you honestly think that war was our last resort? you can say kerry voted for war, but he voted for it based on information he recieved, only changing it after finding out the truth. its not like he just changed his mind out of no where for no reason. i think its great that bush took out saddam, but there are other people just like him, so why not take them out to? bush is a hard headed person, he wont work with people if he doesnt have it his way. the whole point of having allies is to work together, and i dont see bush trying hard enough to do that. we re spending so much money putting us into more debt, and i dont think the reason for war is worth dying over.

I don't consider myself myself to be left or right, I like the current prisident for the fact that he is hard heade, I support the war it's a good way to protect our interests. I don't care about WMD, I care about oil, that is really what the war was about, why not kill two birds with one stone. Rid the world of people like Saddam, and use up all their natural resources so that we don't have to be buying it from them later and paying a hell of alot more than what we already are.

Ladies and gentlemen may I introduce 'mini George W Bush'...and if oil is what you care about, Bush still wasnt that smart because since Iraq petrol prices have steadily risen around the world. So instead of just screwing his own people he has bent the whole world right over.

Do you realize how many jobs have been created by this war in the oilfield industry? I do pretty good now, but when I go to the middle east I make a very nice salary along with a 1000 dollar day rate.

Name me one process, one business, one country that is not dependant upon oil?

SO because ur happy that you are making a nice salary screw the rest of the world.

Im not disputing the fact that oil is needed worldwide. what I am disputing is the rise in petrol prices since the war. Something that you still havent addressed....oh sorry maybe you did telling all of us how much better "you" are after the war....

How thoughtless of me, The reason oil prices are up, is because consumption is up, we can't meet the demand in production because of the workforce issue. We employ so many people everyday, and yet there is still not enough to produce on the wells that have been drilled. That is one of the reasons why I said this guy was full of shit on another thread about people being unemployed because of Bush. People are unemployed because they don't want to work, plain and simple. It doesn't take experience to go to work in the oilfield, they will train you. Once we have enough rigs working and enough people to man them you will see the prices go down.

I will remember to tell that to the 500 people in this area that got laid off in the last year.
"It's not because the downswing in the economy, it's because you're too lazy to work"

Where do some of you people come up with this BS?

Look around man, there is work everywhere. There is no reason people shouldn't have jobs. How do you downsize the economy and create thousands of jobs at the same time? Those people who lost their jobs, what company was it? Was it a federally run company, must have been, thats the only way you can blame it the government.

Re: calling all democrats, please read!!

^^^ I had a crazzy teacher for my AP class to,

just to let you all know,
we went into iraq because they wouldnt let weapon inpectors in. We couldnt trust them so we needed to do something.
and a job well done is what we have done and are doing.

dont blame bush for rising oil prices, blame the terrorist in the middle east that keep blowing shit up.

i dont see why people would ever vote for Kerry. it took him this long to finally get his ideas stright and tell people a plan. and there not that good.

The companies....

They were all forced to close or downsize due to the slowing economy.

Corning Asahi
MuRata
Standard Steel
Lear
OHD Sectional PA
Trinity Packaging

Those are the major hitters, across 2 counties of PA, Centre and Mifflin.

So you're telling me there is work for these people, tell me where since you evidently know so much.

They're 'blowing shit up' because the US armed forces are over there, who sent the armed forces over there under false pretences?

From Carrrnuttt's link.

Unemployment is at 5.4 percent, which is good by postwar standards.

John Kerry doesn't point out that the losses under Bush—estimated to be between 600,000 and 1 million.

Bush didn't really "lose" those 1 million jobs, any more than Bill Clinton "created" 22 million. The economy is too big and complex for the president to control. But overall fiscal stewardship does affect the numbers. For presidents, job growth is the equivalent of sales growth for CEOs: while poor results may not be entirely their fault, they're held accountable anyway.
