Re: Si really worth it?

Go look carefully at a few CRXs and maybe you'll notice features you prefer on one than another.

Any CRX can be made to handle the way you want.

Re: Si really worth it?

88's had what they called Passive Rear Steering, people comblained about it being "twitchy" so honda did away with it. I belive its only crx as my 88 hatch doesnt have it (I dont think... although it does kinda seem like the back end swings around when taking sharp curves and stuff... hell maby it does)

Re: Si really worth it?

so is it true 4 wheel steering? When you turn the steering wheel to the right do the rear wheels point to the left? I never heard of this on crx's only on preludes.

Re: Si really worth it?

its not true 4 wheel sterring its passive, so theres no hydrolics or nothing accually turning the wheels. Its kinda like the toe has slack in it so that it does it by the pressure when you turn or something. I'v never been able to find an artical on it that explains exactly how it works.

Re: Si really worth it?

It was supposed to be more adgile (I'm possative thats not spelt right.. .sue me), but I read that the reason they discontinued it was because it seemed "twitchy"

Re: Si really worth it?

The following was quoted from an article on Sport Compact Car's website...
"On the 1988 models, the passive rear steering is exceptionally strong, making them extremely nimble. On later years, much of the rear steering was tuned out, bringing handling more in line with conventional front drivers. Many road racers prefer the earlier car's more aggressive handling, but warn that they must be tuned differently. A big rear anti-roll bar that you would use on any other Civic or CRX is an invitation for snap oversteer on an '88. Most CRX experts agree that for a street car, '89 and later cars are preferable."

Re: Si really worth it?

rear discs will bolt directly on from either a 90/91 crx si or an integra, theres a how-to on fourthgenhatch
