Re: keyless entry
Quick question. I also have a 95 firebird with all power options as a "pagan_princess" does and I too don't know if my car came with keyless entry. So I'm on eBay right now lookin at some keyless entry remotes and I'm wondering.. does it matter if you buy a remote for a different year other than yours? Such as a 96+ control for a 95 bird? Just wondering because the contol for the 94-95 birds looks like crap compared to the ones for the 96+

Re: keyless entry
Yes it matters. They run different range of frequency's. They are not interchangable. If your unhappy with the way the remote looks. You could always buy a aftermarket system with different style remote.

Re: keyless entry
Alright, thanks for the info. But here's another question I have. I looked and found a keyless entry system that comes with all hardware, including the receiver and 2 remotes. But it's for the the 94-96 Buick Roadmaster's and Chevy Caprice's. The remote looks just like the ones for the Firebirds and Camaros.. so I'm assuming all GM vehicles remotes look alike. So do you think this would work since I can't find a receiver specifically for the Firebirds/Camaros?

Re: keyless entry
Ive got a 1994 Caprice Clasic Wagon and A 1992 Eighty Eight Royal. I was wondering if i could use the keyless entry system from my 88 on my caprice. And if you how do you program it.
Thanks!! |
