I know exactly how you feel...I took my van to Goodyear/Gemini because the engine light came on (car was running fine) and they advised me it came on because of a misfire (code P0316). They replaced the ignition wire set and charged me $194.74 and told me the light would come back on in a week if I did not replace the platinum spark plugs and fuel filter and have a 3-step fuel system cleaning done ($354.91). I took it to Meineke and was told that it didn't make a lot of sense because the spark plugs were made to last for 100,000 miles. The car history shows codes 171 & 174 now..Meineke advised me to take it to Ford. Have I been tricked? Light is still on. What did you do in regards to Goodyear? Did they give your money back?
