Re: Lip deminsions

well 90civicDXdude put a 88 bumper on his 91 and the lip was a hair longer on the 88 bumper had to trim some off the ends to get it to line up to the wheel well but the shape i believe is the same

Re: Lip deminsions

88-89 and 90-91 are different.

I had an 89 Si front lip and tried to make it fit and it was too short, and the curves on the 89 were more sharp than the 91. The 91 has an overall more roundness to it with more smooth transitions on the corners.

I don't think you could do a universal 88-91 one that would look good on either or both.

Allright, I'll have to get a patern for the 90/91s. But back to the question... does everyone think this is a good height or should it be taller or shorter?

Ok i just went out an measured and I have 4" of clearance under my bumper to the jack so I would say that 2 an 3/4" would work just fine.

Re: Lip deminsions

I have an 87 civic si lip on mine and it measures 1 3/4". It looks good cause it's straight down with no curves at all so it gives you a good idea of what measurements. I say anything around 2 - 2 1/2" would be best on there. And overlapping on 88-91 civics would look good but if for 90-91 crxs, dont' do it. Oh and here's a pic of mine to give a good idea of what I'm talking about.
