Re: track time

1991 Honda crx Si atleast 2350lbs maybe more.

LS, Ebay short ram, Thermal Cat back, stock header, broken motor mount.

14.7 @ 92mph with 2.1 60'

same setup with a 50 shot zex

14.3 @ 99mph with a 2.2 60'

I could pull high 13's with that setup but the tires just wouldent grip, they would break loose in 2nd and traction wasent the best.

I would expect 14.5's with a header and fixed motor mount and around 13.7's with header, fixed motor mount and better tires with the 50shot. Setup is no longer gonna be used. stay tuned for a new setup and faster times come spring or early summer.

Re: track time

Yea i think thats why ppl never beleived me on other sites when i told them about my old hf crx with 92 ls motor and intake exhaust and everything gutted off motor like a/c and ps pumps and all running 14.5 with a kinda bad clutch that was years back before many ppl started doing swaps..Then i have the same setup in my 93 hatch all same stuff running 14.3 well with a stage 1 clutch added still waiting on a scanner to scann my slip on that one..But i strongly think that a crx and a hatch will definatley hit high 14s of ls motor and lower times with mods..

I got a quick q if anyone can answer it..Has anyone ever had or seen a Si rex run a low 15 sec off the vtec motor with exhaust intake and be totaly gutted..Does anyone think its possible..Later all

Edit:The question on the guy with hatchback up there..I know my hatch weighs 2176or something and i weigh around 140 so u should be running a little better then me with the same setup..I know i roll with s2000 with decent driver but with a shitty one i can beat them by about a car or so..

Re: track time

I think tranny also plays a nice roll with all this.

yes its possible to get a gutted si rex to low 15's. I know a guy who had one about 3 years ago stock motor with intake an exhuast I believe and it was gutted to all hell like no dash no carpet nothing, just a driver seat. He may have actually pulled a high 14 but it was deff not streetable.
