Re: 92 RS purchase?

All my cars power is high end power , I still run the 2.72's which give me a pretty weak take off , I can hit 60 in like 5 seconds but between 60 - 90 ( I believe due to my idle control valve sticking becauseit's apeice of shit and haven't had a tranny flush since I had it. ) It's slow like a bettel after 90 it hits again , when my msd multi fire kicks in after 4K rpm and creates an insane amount of combustion.PLus I run 102 octane in my car mixed 1/15th with 91 , Giving me a superior explosion over any unleaded 91 - lower octane racing vehicles. My rear wheels are only putting out 261 HP at 5500 rpm.

Theres not just a 'few mods' either. I haven't listed everything.

Come to the track with me and let's race.then say something about my car..speaking of which , I have a dyno and time slip around here somewhere. Will post.

You don't need 600 hp to run a 13. QM- I know a friend of mine who runs 13.5's's with only 180 HP nissan sentra 4cyl.

Re: 92 RS purchase?

Another point would be I have my timing set different , I have a tuned ecu , I bought a 290 HP factory crate 350 and had it bored. Just a cam alone gives me anywhere from 5 - 15 depending on the rpm range.

I never said you did. I stated times with 365 rw and 365 flywheel because you never specified.

You mean 2.73's.
So its a pain in the ass to fill up?
I'll run you at the track with my truck.
I never said you needed 600hp to run a 13 sec ET. I said to run 135mph in the 1/4 mile you would need about 600hp...which you dont have, yet you claim 135mph with a mid 13 sec ET.
13.5's with 180 hp? Ya I'd beleive it, because his car doesnt weight 3000 lbs like you claim yours does.

Just a cam alone gives you 5-15 what? 5-15 hp gain over a stock cam? No thanks, I wouldnt waiste the money. So you bought a factory crate motor, dissassembled it, had it machined, bought new pistons that you didnt list in your mods, bought new rings that wherent listed, and called it 365 hp? So we have 290 hp + 15hp cam + .030 bore = 365hp? NO!! sorry, wrong again. 5ci will not give you 60 hp, I dont car how mu compression you added or lost when you got those new pistons you never said anything about.

Sorry man I dont mean to keep slamming doors in your face but your story just isnt adding up. Its not the amount of hp you have that matters. The whole reason I posted the first thing about what you claimed is that there is no way in hell you can run mid 13 second ET's in the quarter mile and top out at 135mph in 1320'. Unless you spun for 1/8 mile then hit about 250hp shot n2o when you hooked up.

Re: 92 RS purchase?

The more Hp you push the higher end you can get , Sure a stock 92 rs tops out at 110mph because of a governer and is limited to rpm range and acceleration time but if you put a bypass on it then run it then you will achieve much more top end. Some one on the F-body forum got like 150 out of theres on a ten mile stretch. My car has like 4grand dumped into it between the engine , electrical and transmission I can't even remember half the shit that has been put into it. Plus the gentleman I bought it from had the 3rd and od gears swapped out with some other kind from Taylors Transmissions enabling a better top end. I have all my receipts for everything and I will be posting those as well. So you can look it up and estimate it for your self. As I said and as the page says , a 290 hp crate with mods is only an estimated 75HP , not 100 , not 500. I haven't had a dyno tes on the flywheel and don't plan too. Unless I get a 383 stroker to drop in it. That is if I don't sell it first.

Re: 92 RS purchase?

The point is there is no way in hell your car is trapping 135mph in the 1/4. Those are the kind of ppl who run high 9's-low 10's. Not 13.3's w/ 300rwhp in a 3000lb car.

Re: 92 RS purchase?

351 is right about the speed issue, ppl run 13's and don't even break 100.
