ok, ford mustang 5.0 gt's= not fast.test drove one when i stepped on it i was honestly thinking, wheres the rest of it? the cobra's are the fast ones you have to worry about. the gt only had 225, weak. im also talking about the older late 80's early 90's ones

It wouldn't surprise me at all for even a KA24DE equipped 240SX with intake, header, exhaust, S-AFC, and a compitent re-tune to beat a stock 5.0 GT/LX...whatever. A good set of cams would make the 240 worthy of placing my money on it. I have no doubt that the SR20DET equipped cars are faster. The 5.0 is cheaper for a drag car, however, 9 second 1/4 mile times can be had for as little as $5,000 total investment.

yea and i can make a vw tdi have more than that super easy but its still slow. chip, boost controller, and catback and you have atleast 300lbfeet but its still slow.
