Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: 328iS vs. GTP vs. Me

The GT/GTP both would have had dual exhaust. The GTP has 240hp/280lbs torque and the GT has 200hp/230lbs torque.

97-03GTP would have a 0-60 of 6.5-7.0seconds.
The GT I don't know but I would think it is faster than 8.8s so that must be a typo.

What do you run in the 1/4?

I've only had the car for a few months so I haven't run it yet. People with the same mods have run high 13s - flat 14s. It all depends on the launch. The car runs mid - high 14s stock. Even though its FWD, in reviews it beat the RWD 330Ci on the skidpad. If you drove one, you'd see that it wasn't made for the dragstrip.

Re: 328iS vs. GTP vs. Me

stock GTs run about a high 15 1/4 mile stock. But the 0-60MPH should be closer to 8 seconds flat.

Nice race

I sped up without downshifting and instantly caught up and they slowed down to about 70. I was behind the grand prix in the middle lane. The BMW was in the left lane and the right lane was totally open. Obviously they were lining up for a race so I just stayed behind the GP to watch this. By this time they were going about 60. They both went WOT and I waited a second before I put it in third. I waited til they were about 3 car lengths ahead of me, moved to the right and went WOT. I cought up in less than 2 seconds and by 110 I was at least 6 car lengths ahead of the BMW and the BMW was at least another 2 ahead of the Grand Prix.

I moved into the middle lane and slowed down when all of the sudden I witness a double ricer fly by! The BMW flies by me on the left and the GTP moved into the right lane to fly by me! This was a one of a kind, never seen before fly by! These idiots kept on weaving through traffic swerving in front of cars without signals and what not, so I just slowed back down going the same speed I was going before. Both drivers were either late teens or early 20s. I wanted to line up with to see how far ahead I'd be if we started off at the same time but they never slowed down.

Total Bullshit. 9 car lenths from 60 to 110 on the beamer and 11 car lenths on the gtp? does no one else see how asinie this is?

In before the lock.

Wow, my threads from almost a year ago are still popular Maybe I was a little optimistic with 6 and 11, but I'm still amazed at how hard that 3.2L V6 pulls in 3rd gear. I'm pretty sure that was a GT, not a GTP. I raced an older GTP later and it was a lot closer.

The CL-S is almost as quick as my 540i, on the highway from about 70-110 with the mods I had. It's time to mod this baby.

Who are you talking about? If you look closely, maybe you'll realize that I started the thread and am responding to it.
