Let's see.

150hp stock+5psi

(14.7+5)/14.7=1.34

150x1.34=201hp.

So yea, that about right. Jeeze.

Thats cool. I'm gonna join the Booze club soon. Official Boozeaholic in 2 weeks. Are you gonna do anything else? Run it at the track yet? Post up times when you do. Congrats and use your power wisely.

Re: Its official, im a boost junkie

im hopefully gonna make it to the track in the next few weeks. Just need the time and money. Yes its a factory kit, they dont make a model with it already installed, but the kit is made by GM performance. I ordered it online and took it to a dealership to have it installed. The kti cost 2215 and installation was about 500 bucks. From many other people that i have talked to who have the supercharger in their car, stock its very common for high to mid 14s.

Man i took it out for the night to do some racing, man this thing torque steers like a bitch off the line. But shit once it hooks up, im gone. I didnt get many good races and the one really good race i couldnt tell the make of the car, it looked more like a luxury sedan. I blew the doors off a grandprix GT, some ricers in a riced out acura wouldnt give me a race. I was kinda pissed cause i really wanted to laugh at them. Had the usual fart can, euros, wing, aftermarket fog lights, and 2 punks in it. I think they got scared once they heard the SC whine. Man im seriously in love with my car now, its so fast and so uncommon. I love the look people give me when i let the supercharger whine, its like wtf is in there?

Also on a side note, im really knew to forced induction so mind all the stupid questions i will have for you guys but heres one. Since today being the first day i had the supercharger, i had less than a 1/4 of a tank of 87 octane gas left and then filled it a little less than 3/4 of a tank with premium. at first it didnt run to well, but then it smoothed out really well. Now im down to about an 1/8th of a tank and its not feeling to good. Its loud with random noises. Could this just be the rest of the 87 octane being burned off, or do FI engines not run well on a very low tank?

when you mix fuel it will be a full mixture. so i'm assuming your tank is now full of 90 octane gas instead of 91. and about the poping noises, is it from your tail pipe? if it is tahts just your car running rich. perfectly normal for a FI car. and glad you like your SC. but wait till you try a turbo charger. lolz the boost hits much harder then a SC since the SC's power dilvery is more linear and more invisible compared to a sudden rush of power. my car gains 125whp in just 1K rpm. so you would assume how the car pulls in that 1K increment. anyways congrats. your car should be almost as fast as turbo2nr's car.

Cool man, but how's it feel knowing my 1.6 liter n/a Civic is faster than your 2.2 liter supercharged Cavalier?

Yeah, but how's it feel knowing my 2 liter factory turbocharged SR is faster than your 1.6 liter n/a Civic? ahhdurrrrrr.

If you're going to insult him, get it right.

It's a 2.4L. Hence the Z24 badge. Good job Genius.

Nobody cares. Seriously.

A boosted car with more displacement should be faster than my car, that's my point.. "ahhhduuurrrr"

Yeah it should be faster. But different strokes for different folks. If he likes it, then good for him. Don't rain on his parade.

With displacement comes greater torque downlow. Something your B16A has a lack of. I wouldn't be suprised if he could give you a run for your money. A broader torque curve truely helps.

Re: Its official, im a boost junkie

Most of why your civic is faster then his cavy is because of the weight, I'd say that civic weights mabe 500lbs less? I'm just guessing here..

The Cavy is probably 2700-2800lbs, the Civic is probably 2500-2600lbs.

Not too far off really.

Re: Its official, im a boost junkie

Check the sig, B16B.. Comes out of a jdm Civic Type R.
He may have a broader torque curve but I have 8,600 rpms to rev through while he's falling back every shift. That's exactly what happens with all the Mustangs and boosted sohc Civics around here.

Oh and my car weighs 2,300lbs
Redneck, for critiquing me so harshly you sure aren't too educated on my car.
