You know what, you're absolutely right driftu. In fact we as Americans should have just flown to the Muslim extremists, stood out on the streets, and tried to reason with them with words. Oh it's not like they hate all Christians or anything and would try to kill us on sight. If fighting a war is so easy than why do our highly trained soldiers keep dying? Are you implying that soldiers nowadays stand in formation and get mowed down by automatic gunfire, cause i thought they tried to use battlefield tactics to hide from fire? Come to the midwestern states, you'll find most people around here would fight to the death if they were asked; although lets hope it never comes to that. Anyway the fact that you think going to war with a group of people that will kill anyone who doesn't believe the same things they do is cowardice, why dont you spend a few weeks over in the middle east? That could change your mind.

how can anyone look at the draft as favorable thing? lets just take away my right to choose and force me to fight in what i don't believe in. I do not believe in war and do not believe in fighting for something i don't believe in. Oh and i don't need the military to give me discipline or respect, thats what my parents taught me. One more thing how is does this war have anything to do with my freedom of speech? what where the iraqis going to come over here and silence me?

what business do we have there anyway. maybe just maybe it has been years of shit and abuse that lead them to hate us. if america would stay in their own country i don't think their would be much of a problem.but since they think they can police the world that won't happen.

i never hear anything about this being a religious war. last i checked it was a war that was ment to improve the standerd of living in iraq. no sign of that so far. never heard of the kidnappings before america invaded either.

never said it was easy. i said it required no skill. there is a difference. they die because they can't everyone and the iraqis are hiding in the crowds with bombs. indesriminate killers it isn't right but is the only way they can fight back.

nope i am saying you fire a assult rifle in a city you are going to hit more then just your target.

You're absolutely right. Americans were not being kidnapped in Iraq because there weren't very many in Iraq now were there. I do however remember some videos that I saw of Iraqis being kidnapped off the streets only to be raped and killed. For me thats enough reason to go to Iraq, but thats only because I believe in stopping senseless torture.

you're right it does doesn't it, however whats different between the kidnappings in the US and the ones that happened in Iraq are that we try to hunt down our kidnappers. The ones in Iraq were state sanctioned.

This is true, but Iraq is hardly the world leader in government ordered kidnappings either.

true, but I havn't heard of another country who's leaders kidnapped people off of the street solely for their own sick enjoyment. Most government sanctioned kidnappings have a motive behind them other than the fact that the kidnapper enjoys raping women.
