It looks ok, I just came fron NOPI a few hours ago. Did not see much 240 s, that pissed me off, I went there to look at them and there were a few old once, 1 1998 with a ka24det, and a few personal ok looking once. But on parking lot I saw a few nice once.
The r33 front looks better on skylines (saw a few today), for an s14 I think the shark eyes looks the best (1997-1998)

First off, Don't noooooooobody talk shit about the Impala SS, it is a godess of a car, a work of beauty, and I think the pinacle of chevy engineering (except for the whole spark plugs being under the manifold theme, that shit pissed me off if you didn't read my old post), anyway, the Impala SS is a great car.
And SR, what is the point of going to the car show to see cars with chips on their paint, it wouldn't make sense to pay $25 bucks for that.
And most of the cars that have these supposedly flawless paint and body mods belong to shops and companies, who would go advertising on a car with chipped paint, and cracke taillights? have you ever seen a victoria secret catalog with a 200 pound B**** or Tyra smilling with a cracked tooth? NO, those you find in your everyday runnins, but when you go to modelling shows, those same outfits Naomi campbell has are offered in 3-20 sizes bigger, but you don't see them on the show. Models have to be near perfect, just as show cars, that is why they aren't in the NOPI competition, the competition is for the Street driven cars. I'm not trying to flame you or anything so don't get offended, I'm just giving you everyones point of view.

What was so funny, I saw some guys with cars that I didn't know why they were there, how do you come to nopi and register for the competition to show your car, when some of yor most recent body mods haven't yet been painted, or come with a car with stock wheels and everything, and pop up the hood to show a Turbo setup, and intercooler, but everything else is stock, and dirty, that doesn't make any sense. Saw this guy with a S13 with a Ka-T, no mods except for primed off paint, now I know of the whole sleeper kind of theme, but come on, stock injectors, fuel pump, no mods to ecu, and then you paid 80 bucks to show off your car?????????? I saw cars out in the parking lot that looked better than some that were inside.
Saw this guy with a 626, nice tan like paint, but the body kit was grey, I saw the RB powered 240 and it's front/rear bumper, skirts, and wing were all carbon fiber, that was acceptable. I know ppl have high hopes, but, I wouldn't spend that kind of cash for registration if I have no chance of winning.

I like the 'I think' part above...but yes I did drive a SS way before getting my 240SX. However if you are talking 'race' stuff why not just the 9C1 and loose the fluff...that .88g's is not indictative of handling though....just going around a skidpad. Ever compare slalom speeds?

As far as you classifying the SS as better than the 740iL and 240SX I guess you like old people driving/cruising, but hey whatever speed suits you best. I suppose you regularly cruise at 155MPH as well in that SS of yours too, right? Don't let your cigar fall in your lap.

There are no cars that do 155mph like another car does 40mph, may feel smooth and all that but braking and handling at that level are worlds apart. Many of today's cars can handle 140mph plus decently though. The 60-0 braking numbers are almost identical for the two vehicles though....however that extra *only* 1800lbs (I believe should be more like 1200-1400 really) is going to work those brakes alot more at upper speeds than any tires and pads can help.

You seem to know it all though....again though if the Impala SS is such a hands down winner why not be in one. They are about the same price as 240sx's esp considering the 9C1 models of the Caprice. Bring it down to the local autox and challenge all the 240's for titles make sure you challenge the miata's too...you can own every car at the track......

Both aren't in the same class, Don't insult the 240, 740 or Impala, Oh, and the impala SS can smoke a 740, that is true, but go try the 750il, that will be a match, the 7 series wasn't made for racing up and down, it was for luxury. like a benz S500, they have a V12 and not all that fast, cuz they weren't for poor folks, they are for the rich.

it will cruise at 155mph no problem at all, the brakes on the Impala's are MUCH bigger, they may stop the same 60-0, but that test depends more on weight too, and not so much the overall operation of the brakes. The Impala brakes take 2x the amount of heat and abuse without a sweat. Like I say full stop at 155mph in both cars the impala will destroy a 240sx.

and I've beaten the fuck out of both cars, I know which one I like to drive more thats for damn sure. 240sx's are fun, and I will probably buy a s13 hatch and keep it for some years, right now I run a 87 300zx N/a 5spd....

I love Nissans, and the only Chevy car I like is the Impala SS..... so don't give me a bunch of horseshit about my opinions being presented on a 240sx forum.

oh also 9C1's are fucking garbage. All of their time in operation they get beat on and they all have high mileage.. plus most have a lot of rust since they are always driven in the winter too, unlike an Impala SS might.

sure they are kind of similar(not exactly the same) and in reality they are nothing a like unless you spend a shit load of money fixing that 9c1 up, in the end you should have bought a real Impala if u wanted a nice car.

its obvious SR20DETPower... and when i say obvious i really mean OBVIOUS that hes talking about a clean ride and not a completly riced out car... just stop and think about all the possibilities before we turn this into a war... come on guyz....... and ive driven a gs400 platinum series they are awsome and also s500's r the pimpest... but obviously imp SS is just classic thats why i love them. we all love the 240 thats why we post here... lets not take this any further because i hate having to see Suislide come in and break up a thread because he doesnt even get time to enjoy a good thread as it is having to baby everyone so think of him
