Re: redid my taillights

Yeah im a tricky one like that. I used to have a 90 crx but I traded it for an integra, which I then sold. Didnt feel a need to change my user name just cause i got a new car.

Re: redid my taillights

Sorry bout that. Your username really tricked me there. But yeah Hatchback lights are just a piece of plastic and have no hollow spot in them so water can't get in. It's just that the red center pieces tend to melt a little and the little red squares inside tend to make it look a little weird far away. Like you have this huge faded spot on it.

Re: redid my taillights

Looking sharp.
[edit] I think you should find a stock center panel and paint it in a likewise manner. IMHO it would add a little more "character" to the rear end. That's just my

I disagree with you. I have water in mine, if you are talking about the center piece. Sometimes it drips when i have the hatch open.

to keep water outta my taillights i drilled holes in the bottom and up through to the top housing part to allow water to drain out. My center piece still gets condensation in it though and drips like a mother when i open my trunk after it rains.

When I replaced my black center piece with a dx red one, they both are just a piece of plastic about 1 inch in width. They're held on by 4 bolts too. I just don't see how you guys are gettin water in there. I've never ever have seen it before and there alot of hatchbacks rolling around here too.

Re: redid my taillights

there is a gap between the lense and the reflector so it could get water in it if it wasnt sealed good. Never seen it either though.

Re: redid my taillights

Wow, looks real good for having teg tails on. But they are a little long for my taste but I guess they work well for the car.
