What ya mean say bye bye to 3rd? The tranny shifts perfectly, except for that one time.

Good race, mister. Your car definitely is a monster in disguise... Welp... Since upgrading to an external WG would kinda be a waste.. Me thinks its time for turbo upgrade.. yuppppppppp....

Turbo upgrade.

RedNeck383 LOL, you have got be kidding me !!!!

How come you can beat all these great cars with no problems at all ?!? A Z06 Vette ??? Ever ridden in one of em ? Ever driven one ? I have. And thats exactly why im only going to say this just once :

YOU ARE FULL OF IT

A Z06 has a top speed nearing the 200 MPH range an will pin you to the seat under heavy acceleration. That car my friend would completely leave you in the dust wondering just what exactly happened.

Another side note :
Ive also seen you on here trashing Camaros ( V6 , 8 whatever). Let me see how i can put this ..... YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT. To clarify : I AM NOT saying that YOUR car or any other brand of RICE is not fast or incapable of beating whoever in a race, BUT you are seriously un-educated and underestimating what these cars are capable of both in stock and aftermarket configurations.

I happen to own both a 96 V6 Auto and a 97 V8 Manual. The V6 can and will surprise you. A 3.8 L 3800 Series II is a renown engine and can deliver quite a surprise when you mash the gas pedal.

The 97 Camaro i own with the LT1 would most certainly scare the hell out of you, and make you feel bad about your claims, LOL

Now then ..... A Z06 Vette ... well .... i wouldnt , and you wouldnt stand any chance at all my friend.

So ok argue if you want now ( you will only argue with yourself), ban me or whatever ..... but SO SORRY truth hurts

Re: Panda vs Z06... kinda sorta...

Well what an amazingly educated post by a newb...you seem to know plenty about the z06, but you know nothing about his car, so how are you calling BS? Not to mention, didn't you learn to pick your fights back in elementary school...it is a good lesson to learn, don't piss off a mod.
I'll leave it to him to pass judgment.

Red, nice run man, taking down a vette or even keeping up for that matter is always a damn good feeling. And I feel your pain on not getting into 2nd. When I first put in my GReddy Type-S the damn thing was in the way of my counterweight on the shift fork and I couldn't get it into 1st, 3rd or 5th, and had to drive to work like that. It sucked!

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.

Hmm, looks like camaroincal is back!

In case you don't know what Redneck383 drives, his car weighs about the same as a Honda CRX, like 2200 lbs. And his SR20 puts out probably 220+ hp, maybe more since he has most bolt-ons already. That puts his ride in the low 13's/high 12's already. Why wouldn't that hang with a Z06?

You are correct, a Z06 Corvette is a beast, and perhaps that's why it takes such a skilled driver to crack off a mid 12 second pass. So you've ridden in one. Big deal, so have I. I don't really see a reason to raise the BS flag on a story that sounds legit and doesn't set off any of my BS sensors.

Discuss this in a thoughtful, not confrontational manner, and perhaps we will all learn something.

Ok... lets begin with the fact that it wasn't a full on race. I've already stated this. He punched in 2nd gear from behind me, I punched in 2nd gear nearly at the same time and I stayed ahead. He let off once I got going. The guy already said he wasn't going to race, He was most likely just showing off thinking that's what I wanted to see, his Z06 run. Who wouldn't?

Anywho, I've raced a low 12 second Z this weekend and pulled ahead by a nose before we let off. I say I could race a Z06 fair and square now.

If you still do not believe me, I'll have my buddy's dad get in contact with the dude with a Z06, not the same one, but a Z06 none-the less. And we'll get it on tape... how about that? (I cannot guarantee it can be setup, the guy seemed like a weiner. Seriously.)

If I lose, I lose. No biggie. In all honesty, I should lose to a $55,000 car. I have no shame in losing to one. But if I win... I'm putting this into your signature:

96RedRS im sorry but you just got straight up owned, and since we were the shop that put his car together and i was the one test driving it, i have also driven a Z06 and it didnt put my ass in the seat as hard as this sr240z so you might wanna think twice before you start putting up the BS flag

Re: Panda vs Z06... kinda sorta...

hmmmmmm.... i'll post some video after you come to az next month

but the z is at what? about 270hp @ 14.5 psi? and weighs 2400lbs?

that power to weight will keep up with a z06 as long as it has enough rubber to the ground

Re: Panda vs Z06... kinda sorta...

LoL.... you called him a Tool! LoL

Good 'race', Red... can't wait until you meet-up at the perfect red-light... You pull up to a red-light... all-of-a-sudden a red Z06 pulls up to you... the earth trembles as he idles... he flexes and you nearly pee your pants... you feather the throttle back in response... there are no cars whatsoever for a mile in front of you... the light turns green!

and what have you done to your LT1 that would scare redneck? and how a stock V6 automatic f body surprise us if hes a little spec in our rear view mirror? i do'nt understand. also i suggest you find out what kind of car redneck drives before you go on mouthing. because it would make it just that much sweeter when he sees the look on your face that a 30 year "RICE" destroyed your LT1 ( if its stock or near stock ) if your LT1 is stock i'm more then a match for you. and redneck would destroy me.

also a Z06 cannot do near 200mph. try 180mph no where near 200mph not unless the Z06 have atleast another 200hp. rednecks car if geared right and if he can keep his front wheels on the ground can approach 170+mph from his power to weight. however he is redline limited to around 160mph. which i'm possible he can hit.
