with that intercooler , going up hill or a steep drive must really suck...nothing like ripping your I/C off at a friends house hahahahahaha

Back in the days of carbs, the air could be too cold and freeze parts of the intake, so they had part of the exhaust going next to the intake manifold to prevent it.
With a turbo, no, intake air won't get cold.
