I own a Saturn Ion that had an accident 5 months later from a person who said he "didn't see me". I did more damage to his car than my car that day.
If I was driving anything else than Saturn, 50% of my side had to be replaced. All I did was fix my alignment, that's it. No problems after that and my car still looks new at 12,254 miles. My vote...plastic panels.
